Could be. Too bad I don't have a copy of the second book.

I only have "The Mushroom Forest," but here's a listing of the voice actors in it:
Phil Baron Will Ryan Tony Pope Russi Taylor Lynn Langham
Maybe someone else has "Anything in the Soup."

The books do have a voice actor list on the inside of the front cover, but it's just names and not a who voiced who list.

I agree that the Illiops would have left the HTFC centuries ago, evidence strongly points to that. Something puzzles me though. In the episode, "The Black Box", Grubby, Gimmick and Fuzz say they see Teddy with the other Illiops. How did that happen? Teddy wouldn't have been in the HTFC as a baby. The only thing I can think of is that Bearl's memories got mixed up with the old memories. Maybe I'm missing something. I just kind of assumed that the seventh crystal acted like some sort of data repository, and that the memories that Grubby, Gimmick, and Fuzz were seeing weren't just Burl's. Though I can't imagine how the crystal would have stored memories of the HtfC in its prime, since, given what we know about the Illiop race, they would be the last ones to go around wiping individuals of their memory. Of course, those memories could have come from other Illiops who were also victims of the Black Box. Who knows how many people Quellor has mind wiped in his time as Supreme Oppressor?

I really don't think there's any difference between an Illiop and a bear. Gimmick is a Perloon, as is Eunice. While it's not, IIRC, explicitly stated in the book or series, Wooly is indeed heavily implied to be a Snowzo.
I figure that some of the species names were just to make the series seem more fanciful. Hence 'Illiop' instead of '(anthropomorphic) Bear' or 'Woodsprite' instead of 'Fairy'.

IIRC, the tape audio is on one side track and the animation data is one the other. The animation data sounds really nasty coming from a set of audio speakers, and the only way to get rid of it is to have recording equipment that can split the two tracks. Hence the need for a left/right balance.

There's only a bit of talking at the beginning. Teddy essentially just introduces the content of the tape and then launches into the first song.
It was also one of the tapes that came with a tuxedo for Teddy.

You're right, Josh. I got too worked up, and now that I've taken some time to cool off, I want to apologize for my posts. I also apologize for the name calling. I shouldn't have gotten that carried away.
Whether or not we like this incarnation, maybe, just maybe, there will be kids who will fall in love with this Teddy just like we did with ours all those years ago. Kids who will seek out information about the history of their beloved toy, and maybe find their way here and become new friends. And in the end, isn't that what Teddy is really all about?

You know what? I'm done. Think what you like. If you want Teddy to die, then go ahead. I'm keeping an open mind until the final product is revealed.

Yep, you're really starting to sound like a Geewunner now.

And if this attempt at bringing him back fails, he most likely dies again anyways. So, since he's going to die either way, you should be happy however this goes. But whatever, he's already died four times already, hasn't he? What's another death? Just call him an ursine Goku.

It's a PROTOTYPE, for goodness's sake! He doesn't even come out until the fall of next year! Overreacting, much?
As to the eye color, you guys are aware that the front page of this very forum once had a blue-eyed Teddy graphic, right?

Wow. Just wow. I never thought I'd see the day when the Teddy fandom would have its own set of Geewunners.

Really, guys? We get another chance to reignite a love for Teddy in a new generation and you're hoping it fails? I hate to say it, but since the previous Teddy (which was pretty much the original Teddy with MP3 cartridges) did SO WELL, maybe they think that going in a different direction will work better with today's kids.
Come on, guys. I've always been proud of the fact the Teddy fandom isn't bogged down with generation wars like Transformers and My Little Pony. Let's not start the hating now.
