I'm definitely more of a fan. Living in Canada there are many Teddy Ruxpin items that are unavailable. In fact, even when I had my original WoW Teddy, I got it and most of the books & tapes from my grandmother, who got them at garage sales. I know most of the songs, and could spot a WoW Teddy Ruxpin without a close look. And, of course I've seen every episode of the animated series, and heard most of the stories from the Adventure series.

I am simply a fan of the TV show. I never collected any of the merch.

Sorry, I have to bump up the old thread. I've been a fan of Teddy for twenty years, but I'm just now getting to be in a position where I can be a collector. Now that I've got a Teddy I won't actively seek to get another bear. If I find one, though, I'll definitely get him. I do want Grubby and as many tapes as I can find. I don't think I want the posters or hard figures because I can't see them, so I couldn't enjoy them. I would like the DVD's or VHS tapes. I'd love to find some VHS tapes that someone taped off TV because I'm also interested in old commercials and Teddy Ruxpin and old ads on the same tape would be four different kinds of awesome.

retrobear - I could make you a DVD of a couple of the PSA's and some commercials. I have about half of the TV series on VHS from when My Mom got up every morning at the crack of dawn to record it for me back in 1986/87. I of course can't make any copies of the shows - but I would be happy to get you the Protect Yourself segments and some commercials. All these years later I wish she wouldn't have stopped the taping at most of the commercials, they are pretty cool The video quality isn't the best on them anymore but the audio is not much different than it was originally.

I've seen their PSA's on youtube and they're pretty cool. I like them because it's Teddy, but actually my favorites are the really scary PSA's. I wouldn't ask anyone to make me a copy of the show, but I just think it would be cool to see the show as it actually aired on TV, ads and all. I like classic TV, but I wish all of it came like that, classic ads, not today's commercials. I know, I have a weird hobby. It would be cool if you would upload your ads to youtube and I could watch them there, both Teddy's PSA's and the others.
