Will was the voice of Tweeg (as well as Grubby) in the Adventure series. I'm sure if a new project occurs Will would be asked back to do Grubby and would likely also take on Tweeg again. I just hope John Koensgen stays away from the project because not only was he Tweeg's voice, he's the human embodiment of the character, too.

I would peg Will for the voice as well. Back in the fifth year of LegRux, I would have chosen Chris Tucker (Rush Hour) to voice Tweeg. Probably gradually change Tweeg's personality a little as well to match the actor. Tucker's a funny guy.

Nothing worse than an actor or voice actor that is too into his role.

What we seem to be missing here is how we portray Grundo. We're focusing a bit too much on the characters and we need a more general look. I was thinking sort of a 'Medieval Italy' look for the place and archetecture. Definately something continental.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for the hug, Ben. I'm starting to feel better, though H1N1 is a real pain to deal with.
Thoughts on Grundo... Maybe not Italy. Too romanesque. I see middle to western Europe, closer to the Balkans. Old France with the moores of England or Scotland. It has to feel old, almost ancient, without so much emphasis on ruins but on old constructions and towns. I see Rillonia as a kind of old island country like England, isolated yet proud and powerful in a subdued kind of way. As for Grundo, I see is as the motherland, a rich and fertile land with a diverse and epic history to the land and people, where myth and reality could easily blurr into one. Think the land or the USSR, but instead of the Tibetan plateau to the south, move it to the north to form the Hard to Find Mountains and Ying beyond.

Just can't see Chris Tucker as Tweeg...or James Woods for that matter. I guess I'm too devoted to the original product. I just can't hear anyone else's voice except Will Ryan.

@vilicles Glad I'm not the only traditionalist

As much as we all love Will Ryan as Tweeg (and Grubby), worse comes to worst I could hear either Jim Carrey or even Rowan Atkinson doing either voice. Carrey for Tweeg, I'm sure he could pull it off with decorum and humour. Atkinson once did a voice that was a dead ringer for Grubby. And he can love the English accent in a pinch.

I could see Carey pulling off a Tweeg...but I'm not sure it would ever feel genuine and not just "Jim Carey as Tweeg".

I think we should stick with Will Ryan, thinking about it. I have got a little bit of traditionalism. Not much, but it's there.

Anyone familar with Tom Atkins? He played Detective Cameron in "Night of the Creeps", the angry dad in "Creepshow", Dr. Challis in "Halloween III: Season of the Witch", an officer in both "Lethal Weapon" and "Escape from New York", the lover of Jamie Lee Curtis in 1980's "The Fog", one of the main cops in "Maniac Cop" and the former sheriff in the remake of "My Bloody Valentine".
Now there's a guy who is very talented and well liked by a cult group, he could be perfect for the voice of Teddy's father Burl, anyone agrees?
