Hi guys, I was reading the Hidden Mickey thread and spotted Onemouse's glorious usage of the term 'Advrux'. Nice to see the phrases stick. Made me smile warmly. ;D I was thinking about casting actors for live action Teddy, knowing my vision for things like this. What if the actress Lili Taylor (The Haunting) played as Queen Lilibit? Something about the shape of her face makes me think of an ursine sort of appearance and she might be perfect to play the Queen. Also, I've noticed her having a very youthful 'elfish' personality in certain things she's been in which could manifest a sort of fun-loving side in Lilibit. tv.yahoo.com/show/35338/photos/1What does everybody think? And who do you think would play the rest of the Live action cast?

Definitely, definitely, use CGI for the Fobs and have Robin Williams do the various voices for them. Excellent stuff.
As for the others...
Why does Orlando Bloom pop into my head for Prince Arin?
Bett Midler would be awsome as Eleanor Tweeg, comedic and cruel ^_^
Hmmm... casting Teddy might be the hardest one of all. I have no one in mind for him.
The guy who does Hagrid in the HP movies would be excellent for Woolly.
That's all I have for now.

As far as Teddy and Grubby are concerned, Phil Baron and Will Ryan must provide their voices.

This could be wickedly cool, anyone think it will be like the recent Transformers and GI Joe movies in terms of 80's childhood icons as movies?

I wouldn't want them to take the creative liberties they have with others..... I have read the treatment for what will be the new Teddy movie should it ever come to fruition and naturally as written by Ken it was true to the original story. I don't want to see, for instance, a movie come along that mixes live action with CGI (i.e. Rocky & Bullwinkle) I definitely think it should be a fully animated event.

Michael Angarano would definitely make a good Prince Arin.
I think that a CGI Teddy Ruxpin film would be better though than live action. **shrug**

I think Sony should do this movie and the show/Doll/Teddy creator Ken Forsee can be producer, i think it's time for a trilogy, one that could be mindblowing. It's too bad that Phil Barron has retired and that kind of sucks, perhaps a new voice for Teddy Ruxpin can work just like it did for Heath Ledger as Joker and Jackie Earl Haley as Freddy Krueger.
My ideal movie voice cast for the trilogy:
Teddy: Aaron Standford ("X-Men Trilogy", "Hills Have Eyes 2006"). Grubby: Robin Williams. Tweeg: James Woods. Quellor: Tobin Bell ("Saw Saga"), or Robert Englund. Prince Aaron: Orlando Bloom. Newton Gimmick: Wilford Brimley. Burl Ruxpin: Tom Atkins ("Night of the Creeps", "Halloween 3", "Escape from New York", "Maniac Cop", "Creepshow" and "My Bloody Valentine"). Illena Ruxpin: Jamie Lee Curtis. And some others.

Phil is not retired when it comes to Teddy...... as he said in my interview. In fact in just the past couple of years he provided quite a bit of new content as Teddy's voice.

I loved the new Teddy material he did for the BackPack Toys Teddy. It was great to hear things I'd never heard before, and know that it was recently recorded by the same man who charmed us with his voice 20 years ago. I guess it just gave me hope that this torch we've been carrying for Teddy is still alive, and that there are people out there who still believe in him.

Well ok so Phil is still Teddy as much as Robert Englund is to Freddy Krueger.
How about Doug Bradley (Pinhead from the Hellraiser movies) as the voice for Quellor? and any thoughts on my cast?
Oh and how about Tommy Chong from the "Cheech and Chong" movies as Wooly?
