I found a small clip of the Spanish dub of the original dVD release on youtube. I sent it to my best friend who is extremely fluent in Spanish and she informed me that in this version Grubby said he had six legs and that his feet hurt three times as much as a regular person. What???!!! It also titled the episode The Six Crystals, but it was actually The Treasure of Grundo.

Well yeah cause grubby walks on six legs. I wouldn't really count his hands and arms as legs though. But yeah the title of the episode is very strange though

Okay, it did have the correct title in the video because the announcer read off the title in the beginning of the episode. It was weird, though, because they kept referring to Grubby as a six-footed animal.

Which is sort of true. I mean, technically, Grubby only has six legs/feet. But, because his arms/hands can also be used as feet, and any of his six feet can also be used as hands, as we've seen multiple times, he has eight legs/feet.

I never thought of that. It's just weird that they would change that part around like that.

Maybe it's because when they were doing the translation, they just decided to simplify things? Though why they wouldn't just say that Grubby is an Octopede is beyond me.

I guess we'll find out soon enough. After all it isn't that long until the DVD comes out. I hope they'll have some sort of bonus features on this release. It'd be really cool to have a retrospective documentary or even unfinished storyboards as bonus material. Or maybe even Deleted Scenes for certain episodes? Josh, were there any scenes cut from the finished episodes, that you know of, or just ideas that were thrown away before they were animated?

When is the new DVD set coming out? Also, a bear collector friend from another board wanted me to ask you who is the publisher releasing the new series.

Next week. June 5th, 2012. Image Entertainment is releasing it, according to the info on The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin on Wikipedia. They're the ones who released Pee-wee's Playhouse, The Twilight Zone, and the Jeff Dunham specials on DVD. So, June 5th is next Tuesday.

Yes yes yes!!! I can't wait to get it. Will it be a box set where you have to get all of them at once or can you get them in volumes so you can acquire them gradually?

It appears to be a big, all-in-one set, containing ten discs. I haven't seen any listings for separate volumes, for what it's worth.

Yeah. That's what I read too. And that's what seems to be on Chapters online (Canadian bookstore website) and Amazon. Hopefully it'll be affordable. Maybe I'll put it on my christmas list this year.

Amazon could be wrong. Even Josh said it would be June 5th that the DVD is coming out. Though I was looking on the chapters website and when I searched for the Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, I got 8 hits. Six of them were for the old DVD releases which were labelled as 'unavailable', then I got two other hits that were labelled as 'not yet released - Pre-order Today'. Except one has a July release date, and the other has an August release date. One of them, the July release date is titled "Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin in Search of" the rest of the title is not there (they have limited space) and the second one is just titled "Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin". So, it looks like there's two DVDs being released, but there's been no news from Josh about being two DVDs, nor is there any indication on the show's Wikipedia page (or anywhere else). Any thoughts?
