However, Amazon.ca (the Canadian Amazon website) shows only one listed, and the released date is June 5th.

I found the second one on Amazon.com. It's "The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin in Search of the Treasure of Grundo" and it has the first 14 episodes on it, while the other one (which says July 10th, as well as on Chapters) is the 10-disc set. I wonder why there's discrepancies on the release date? Both Amazon.com and Chapters.ca list them as July 10th for the 10-disc and August 14th for the Search of the Treasure of Grundo, but Amazon.ca lists the 10-disc set as being released on June 5th, but doesn't show the second one.

Just found the second one on the Canadian Amazon and it says August 14th for it's release. Still doesn't explain the discrepancy in the release date for the 10-disc set.

Maybe they're releasing the box set first and then releasing the individual volumes later. Are they carrying them in regular stores too or just online?

I honestly have no idea. They might be, but you'd have to go to those stores and see. I plan on looking on the Chapters website as it shows in store availability. It'd be really cool if they were selling them in stores and not just online.

Sorry I'm late to this topic. The release has been pushed back to July. This is a fairly common occurrence. Companies like to release titles when the market isn't saturated. I don't know why the delay happened but I'd imagine it's something to do with marketing. I believe Wal Mart is going to be carrying the DVD's too and that might have something to do with it as they are a big influence when they're in the mix.
As far as two different DVD's - this is news to me. Anyone have a link? If they are releasing separate volumes I would imagine it would only be to get a few extra bucks from folks who may not want the whole series or are only looking to replace certain parts of the show that maybe got lost or scratched from their Millcreek releases.

Aw what a major booger!!! Oh well, maybe by July I can afford the DVD's. I'm in the process of moving now, so I'm broke, but maybe then I'll be able to have it when it comes out. The only thing is that my sister and her two kids are staying with us right now and I was so looking forward to showing them Teddy Ruxpin instead of that horrible Disney Channel that they watch all the time. I know they would love Teddy because they like to play with him and they'd get a kick out of seeing him on TV.

Major booger? Seriously? Just kidding. Anyway, yeah it always sucks when the anticipated release of something, whether it's a tv show on DVD, a new comic book mini-series, or a new movie, gets pushed back by a month or more. But that means we'll be even more excited when the DVD set does come out.

I am headed on an extended vacation and was hoping to try out this new release on that vacation, so I was a bit disappointed in April when the date was pushed back, too. It gives me more time to prep the website for the sale, though, which will mean more people will be exposed. I hope to have that done in the next few days. As has been said though - waiting is the hardest part, but it makes it sweeter as well

Oh well, story of my life. I waited to have Teddy for twenty years. I guess I can wait a month for the DVD.

Oh trust me, when the DVD set is released I will be buying it. It's not even that expensive a set. At least compared to other ten disc sets or full series sets released for other shows of that era, like The Transformers. So, once Teddy Ruxpin comes out on DVD, I will own a copy. And who knows, maybe Teddy Ruxpin will become public again instead of the community of people who remember it from the '80s.
