We need to send her a letter... tell her to make Teddy the official ambassador to the World from California. I always thought of Grundo as a slice of Wyoming and California... with the mountains and the beaches. If only such a place existed in real life, I could finally live in a locale that brought me pure happiness

Lol that would definitely bring him some publicity! We actually have just about every kind of geographical feature you could ever want out here, so it would be the perfect real-world Grundo (or at least the pretty parts would lol).

Amen to that. I've been to Orange County and the Bay Area and in between and there's too much beauty there to explore in two lifetimes. If this know it all inventor I'm living with could just figure out how to get that big boat with the airbag off the ground... then I could see it all

You'd need an awful lot of hot air.
Of course, with some of the individuals that call California home, that shouldn't be much of a problem. Just round up some people from Hollywood, and you're all set!

lol!
I think part of Grundo's appeal is that it has all the geographical characteristics of a real continent. Most fictitious worlds tend to spread one geographical trademark over an entire world, but Grundo is everywhere, and yet still manages to be unique to itself.
I've always wanted to live near Rainbow Falls. Even as a kid I wanted to live in Gimmick's Valley and hike to Rainbow Falls every day. Something about Rainbow Water was amazing to me.
If you could live anywhere in Grundo, where would it be? The Great Desert? Gimmick's Valley? Tweeg's Tower? The Hard-to-Find City? M.A.V.O. Headquarters? The Land of Ying? Would you live in Rillonia? Where do you see yourself in Teddy's world?

Ooh, tough question.
The area of Rillonia where Teddy's family lives actually resembles where I live currently, being near a forest out in the middle of nowhere.
I don't know if I would want to live there, but I wouldn't be adverse to exploring Octagonia. For being the birthplace of our favorite Octopede, it sure didn't get much attention.
Truth be told, when I was little, I thought Rillonia actually existed. I was looking at a globe once, and I would have sworn I saw Rillonia in western Europe. Turns out I was actually looking at Romania. How I confused Rillonia and Romania, I'll never know.

I'd give almost anything for a single day in Grundo. Ken, (ironically since it's my home state) wrote in the original TR bible that Grundo is about the same size as the state of Wyoming. It would be hard to travel in a day, but I suppose I'd spend most of the day in Vincent's favorite spot- Rainbow falls and Gimmick's valley- with stops by the Mushroom forest, Wooly's place, MAVO and King Nogburt's, that's all if the trio would host me on the Airship of course... and I'm sure they would.
If I was there for good, eventually I imagine I would gravitate towards a small place by Ben's beach for my day to day living and visit everyone frequently. No matter what I'm sure I would take Teddy's mother's advice and never visit Ying.

If I could live anywhere in Grundo I would live in Gimmick's Valley, in a small cottage like the one the trio lives in. And I would love to visit the Hard to Find City, provided I didn't get caught and given a grand tour of the prison building. I would also like to visit Rainbow Falls, Ben's Beach, M.A.V.O. Headquarters, the Mushroom Forest, and the Wizard's fortress, near the Moss Forest. And, maybe even spend a day partying with the Grunges in their village.

Hmmm, I think Gimmick's Valley would be ideal. I could visit with Gimmick daily, and I'm sure Teddy and Grubby would be hanging out there at least a bit, so I'd be able to see them too. Then when I was bored, I could pop in on Tweeg for a little fun, lol. Maybe I'll even make a fan out of LB, showing that I'm almost as good if not better at harassing Tweeg than he is.

Lol. Gotta love it when "The Third Crystal" is referenced. I gotta say that's my new favourite episode of the animated series. I didn't like the original Adventure series story as much, but the episode was awesome. Speaking of which, why are the crystals' powers revealed in such a wide and inconsistent space? The first crystal's power was revealed in the sixth episode, "Take a Good Look", but, the second crystal's power wasn't revealed until episode 20. I mean, with the exception of new dialogue, slightly altered lines, and expanded material involving Tweeg, weren't most of the episodes already written? At least the ones based on the original stories from the Adventure series? So, did they number the episodes, especially the standalone ones, based on when each one was finished going through production, or did they have an overall plan on when each episode would air and in what order they would air in, based on the five episode story arcs?

I just wanted to say that I went back to the beginning of the thread and finally got to listen to the commercial, (it wasn't working for me the first time), and I can definitely hear the resemblance! Kind of funny though; in my opinion he sounds more like Burl than Teddy.

You're right. It does sound more like Burl than Teddy, but maybe when he did Teddy's voice he lightened it up to get the younger voice, same as when he did Piglet? Who knows. I noticed the same thing when I heard Paul Winchell, aka Tigger from the first three or four featurettes, for the first time. His regular voice only had the barest trace of Tigger in it, but it was still recognizable. Anyway, the book shown in the commerical looks like the PlaySkool version rather than the WoW version.

To me, he just sounds like an older Teddy.

Hmmm, that could be too. Do you suppose Burl sounded like Teddy when he was younger, and it was the years of isolation that made his voice kinda gravelly?
