Hi group! One of my favorite things to do when Teddy hunting is go to vintage toy shows! I've found that the Chicago Vintage Toy Show is by far the best I've attended. It's twice a year -- once in spring and once in fall. I've been going for the past 3 or so years and every time I go it gets bigger and bigger! WOW products are also becoming more prevalent at the show -- although some shows are dicey in terms of what I'm looking for. There's one coming up in October. My favorite moment from one last spring was when I spotted a WOW Mickey and was checking him out (I always bring multiple types of batteries and tapes to test!) and another guy walked up to me (about my age, mid twenties) and said "that actually looks like a good deal, do the animatronics work?" and I almost squealed because I realized there was someone else my age interested, possibly a collector, and knowledgable about WOW products, too! It's great to find us in the flesh. If you don't go to the Chicago show, does anyone attend any others? The only other show I've attended is one in Michigan in Kalamazoo. It was okay. A few things here and there, nothing fantastic, and not as big as Chicago.

Can't say that I have. It sounds like something I'd really like to do one day, though.

I have always wanted to go to a Toy Related Trade Show. I do not know the right people to go to such a thing though.
