I knew that. However, who is it supposed to keep out? The people of Grundo from Ying, or the people of Ying from Grundo? And, I don't recall seeing the wall of Ying in the tv series. It's not even mentioned. Then again the Map of Grundo is condensed, and Grundo, portrayed in the books and show, seems to be much larger, with a lot longer travel time to wherever people are going, whether it's by wagon, on foot or by airship.

Does the wall of Ying look like Great wall of China?

Kind of, though the Great Wall of Ying doesn't have all those watchtowers on it, like the Great Wall of China does. At least not in the representation on the map. They never showed it in the tv series, nor in any of the interior artwork in the books, except for the map of course.

The Great Wall of Ying is mentioned, first by Grubby, in the episode where they discover that Tweeg had stolen the questions, when he read the MAVO advertisement.
The Great Wall Of Ying might have been built by the Illiops to keep the monsters of Ying from entering peaceful Grundo. I'll have to rewatch all the episodes and see.

Yeah, it was mentioned several times, but it was never established why it was built, nor was it actually shown. Or if it was shown, it was shown in the background scenery.

Yeah, I think it was pretty much mentioned in passing.
