Last time, the heroes were able to save Lucky, Amber and the unicorns from the Witch of Crimson Mountain whom is in cohorts with her sister M.A.V.O.’s Understander of Legends and Ickly Bognostroclum, as the heroes and their friends headed back for their respected destinations, the trio and Amber return to Gimmick’s house in the valley.
The next morning, after returning the Crystal that Gimmick borrowed back to the Hard-to-Find-City, the Trio and Amber are together in Gimmick’s kitchen, having breakfast.
Grubby: Say, I wonder if the Gutangs have noticed the Crystals are all back on the pavilion.
Gimmick: It’s quite er-uh possible, Grubby.
Meanwhile at the Hard-to-Find-City, as the sun shone, the Crystals started glowing brighter by the minute as they’re in their rightful places on the pavilion. A few Gutangs notice.
Gutang 1: Can it truly be?
Gutang 2: Let’s find out.
They look inside the room and see all Seven Crystals radiating brightly.
Gutang 1: It is. We must inform the Ambassador.
They go to the Gutang Ambassador whom sits on his throne.
Gutang 2: Oh great Ambassador, the Crystals are back on the pedestal.
Ambassador: All Seven of them?
Gutang 1: Yes.
Ambassador: The ancient prophecy, it’s coming true. When all Seven Crystals are returned to the pavilion of the Hard-to-Find-City, the Illiops will return as well. Balance and harmony will be restored in Grundo.
Gutang 2: What does that mean, Ambassador?
Ambassador: It means, now that the Crystals are back, the Illiops will return sooner or later.
Gutang 2: Then what shall we do?
Ambassador: We will return to our original home in Ying.
The Gutangs spread the word and pack up their thing, then prepare their flying machines. At Gimmick’s house, the group is minding their own business, Teddy and Amber are on the sofa with Gimmick in the chair and Grubby on the footstool.
Teddy: Oh, Amber, there’s been something I’ve been meaning to ask you.
Amber: What’s that, Teddy?
Teddy: Would you… like to go for a walk?
Amber: Oh, sure. That’d be wonderful.
Grubby: Just the thing after an adventure like yesterday.
Gimmick: Indeed. It er-uh sounds like a great idea for uh-uh relaxation.
Amber and Teddy get up from the couch as Grubby gets up from the footstool.
Grubby: Anything you two would like to bring?
Teddy: Um, actually Grubby, I was hoping it be just Amber & I, alone.
Grubby: Oh. Sure Teddy. No problem.
Grubby tries to hide the fact that he’s disappointed that Teddy didn’t want him to come with them on their walk. He watches as the two Illiops go off as Fuzz comes by the Octopede’s side.
Fuzz: What’s the matter, Grubby?
Grubby: (Picks up Fuzz) I think Teddy and Amber are falling in love.
Fuzz: Aw, how romantic.
Grubby: Though, if they become a couple, it may break up the trio and they’d rather spend time with each other and less with me, Gimmick or even you.
As Grubby hangs his head sadly, he then breaks into song.
Grubby:
I can see what’s happening
Fuzz: What?
Grubby:
And they don’t have a clue
Fuzz: Who?
Grubby:
They’ll fall in love
And here’s the bottom line
Our trio’s down to two
Fuzz: Oh.
Grubby sarcastic mock-French accent:
Ze sweet caress of twilight
(normal voice)
There’s magic everywhere
And with all this romantic atmosphere
Disaster’s in the air
Teddy and Amber walk around Grundo with other couples watching them. And singing. They come by Boggly Woods where a Woggly couple sees them.
Male Woggly:
There’s a calm surrender to the rush of day
Female Woggly:
When the heat of the rolling world can be turned away
An enchanted moment, and it sees me through
Male Woggly:
It’s enough for this restless warrior just to be with you
They next go past the village of elves and wood sprites where several see them.
Elves:
And can you feel the love tonight
It is where we are
Wood-sprites:
It’s enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far
Leota and her students see them from their school tree.
Students:
And can you feel the love tonight
How it’s laid to rest
Leota:
It’s enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best
The two Illiops continue on, even waving to some elves and wood-sprites whom are outside their houses. They then come upon the Grunge village where many see them.
Manfred:
There’s a time for everyone
Janna Lee:
If they only learn
Manfred:
That the twisting kaleidoscope
Both:
Moves us all in turn
Jodie and Jethro:
There’s a rhyme and reason to the wild outdoors
When the heart of this star-crossed voyager beats in time with yours
Grunges:
And can you feel the love tonight
It is where we are
Jethro:
It’s enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
Grunges:
That we got this far
Teddy and Amber continue on their walk continuing towards Rainbow Falls, Fobs see them.
Fobs:
And can you feel the love tonight
How it’s laid to rest
Female Fob:
It’s enough to make kings and vagabonds
Male Fob:
Believe the very best
Teddy and Amber sit by the side of Rainbow Falls and stare lovingly into each others’ eyes.
Fobs:
It’s enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best
The two Illiops finally kiss as the scene returns to Grubby with Fuzz.
Grubby:
And if he falls
In love tonight
It can be assumed
Fuzz:
His carefree days with us
Are history
Both:
In short our pal
Is doomed!
The song ends as Grubby and Fuzz go back inside. Back at Rainbow Falls, after a few minutes, Teddy and Amber look up and see Gutang flying machines.
Amber: (Gasps)
Teddy: Gutang flying machines, an entire fleet of them.
Amber: Where could they be going?
Teddy: It looks they’re heading for the Land of Ying. We’d better tell Gimmick and Grubby about this.
They head back towards Gimmick’s house. At that time, in the mountains of Northern Ying, is a village of Illiops whom look similar to polar bears and wear brightly colored outfits. Their village is on the mountain on the other side of the Snowzos’ habitat. The Illiops are minding their own business, when suddenly…
Illiop: Look, up there!
The Illiops look up and see Gutang flying machines, they all hide back in their houses as the Gutangs land and step out.
Gutang one: Hey, where’d everyone go?
Gutang two: Well, we have developed quite a bad rap.
Gutang Ambassador: And we worked hard to earn that rap. However, we’re not here for evil stuff.
Gutang one: Right, this is where the Gutangs originally lived before we abandoned it and conquered the Hard-to-Find-City.
The Ambassador knocks on the door of one of the houses, an Illiop peeks through the cracked open door which is locked by a chain.
Gutang Ambassador: Please, we don’t intend any harm. As unbelievable as it sounds. But the prophecy has come true, the Seven Crystals have returned to the Hard-to-Find-City. So you may all return to your original home.
Meanwhile, Teddy and Amber return to Gimmick’s house where Grubby and Gimmick are together.
Teddy: Grubby, Gimmick!
Grubby: Hey Teddy, Amber.
Gimmick: How was your er-uh walk?
Amber: It was lovely. But you won’t believe what we saw.
Gimmick: What is it?
Teddy: We saw the Gutang flying machines flying towards Ying.
Amber: That means if the Gutangs are returning to Ying where they originally came from, the Illiops may return to the Hard-To-Find-City.
Teddy: We should inform the Grundo colony about it.
Gimmick: To the er-uh Airship!
The quartet heads out to the Airship and flies off towards the Moss Forest where the Grundo colony is hidden. The Airship lands in front Amber’s house where they are greeted by her parents Barry and Ursula and grandmother Ursa.
Amber: Mom, Dad, Grandma!
She goes to them and they all embrace.
Ursula: Amber dear, how was your time with Teddy?
Amber: It was wonderful, he’s wonderful.
Teddy: I could say the same about her.
Amber: But we just saw the Gutang air fleet flying back towards Ying.
Ursa: We also saw them flying away.
Barry: If they’re leaving the Hard-to-Find-City then that means the lost colonies of Illiops may return.
They notice the rest of the Illiops packing to leave for the Hard-to-Find-City.
Ursula: We should get packing too.
Amber: Right, we’ll meet you all at the Hard-to-Find-City.
While Amber’s family goes to pack, Teddy & co. takes the Airship and heads for the Hard-to-Find-City. When they get there, landing the Airship, they see the Grundo colony entering. That’s when Grubby peaks into the crystal room.
Grubby: Hey, look!
The others look as well and see the Seventh Crystal shining six white beams on the other Crystals. They shine so bright that some are protecting their eyes.
Gimmick: It’s so eh-eh bright.
Grubby: It’s times like these I wish I had a pair of sunglasses.
Amber: The ancient prophecy really is being fulfilled.
Teddy: Amber, how did the prophecy go?
Amber: Loss of the Seventh Crystal. Invaders from the North. The grand city’s tragic fall. The Kind Ones descend to different lands. Only to return when Theodore the Wise’s direct descendant brings all Seven Crystals back to the pedestal.
Gimmick: And all that has certainly er-uh come true.
Grubby: I’m thinking seriously that must be you, Teddy.
Teddy: Well, Theodore the Wise was my great-great grandfather.
Amber: The first half of the prophecy came true. But there’s more.
As Amber recites the prophecy, a great beam of light shines through the roof of the crystal room and into the white clouds above.
Amber: Bringing beauty and splendor to the City. And balance and harmony to all the land.
As the clouds become all sparkly and shiny, the Hard-to-Find-City becomes beautiful and clean, water flowing from the fountains. Also the clouds travel throughout Grundo, making everything in their path more bright and beautiful than before. The quartet sees from the City.
Grubby: Wow, look at Grundo.
Teddy: Y’know, I think I finally realize that you all were right, I think I am the one destined to rebuild the Hard-to-Find-City to its splendor and beauty. Though, uh… can I talk to you guys in private?
Teddy leads his comrades into a building to talk privately.
Grubby: What’s up, Teddy?
Teddy: I have to admit, I’m not so sure I can be leader of the Illiops of Grundo. I’ve never ever led a boy’s scouts troupe, let alone an entire city.
Amber: Aw, I know you’d make a good leader, Teddy.
Gimmick: Indeed, eh-eh my boy. I have complete uh confidence in you.
Amber: Me too. What else are sweethearts for?
Grubby: She’s got a point. Besides, who helped us got out of the Mudblup dungeons by disguising ourselves as Mudblups?
Teddy: I did, I guess.
Gimmick: And who er-uh got me and Grubby to stop uh-uh arguing more than once?
Teddy: I did.
Amber: See? A good leader always helps figure out the best way to get out of a sticky situation and create peace between others. I know you’d make a great leader.
Teddy: Thanks everyone. Though, Amber, will you lead with me?
Amber: Yes, a thousand times yes.
Gimmick: Then let’s, er-uh go.
As Teddy, Amber and Gimmick leave, Grubby stays as he thinks about Teddy being the new leader.
Grubby: (Sighs, thinking) I don’t know how to feel right now, I should be happy for Teddy and Amber becoming the new leaders of the Hard-to-Find-City. But it really makes me sad that it may break up the Trio and we won’t be able to hang out anymore.
With a heavy sigh, he joins his friends. In the main hall, the Illiops have all gathered and Teddy comes to the throne which the Gutang Ambassador used to reside.
Gimmick: All hail Teddy Ruxpin, the er-uh new leader of the uh-uh Hard-to-Find-City, and his girlfriend Amber!
Illiops: (Cheering)
Teddy: Thank you, everyone. And thank you, Gimmick. As your leader, I promise to make the Hard-to-Find-City as splendid as it was generations ago.
A random Illiop goes to Teddy to inform him on something.
Illiop: Sir, someone has requested an audience with you.
Teddy: Really? Who is it?
Illiop: He’s coming right now.
That’s when the Gutang Ambassador comes in and makes his way towards Teddy, even if it means pushing and shoving others.
Illiops: (Various complaints)
Grubby: Gee, I guess “excuse me” isn’t in the Gutang dictionary.
Teddy: Why have you come, Ambassador?
Ambassador: To talk. We Gutangs have returned to our original village in Ying which was abandoned when the Hard-to-Find-City was conquered. However, the Illiops are reluctant to leave their settlement for they have been there for generations.
Teddy: Can’t you all share?
Ambassador: It’d get too crowded, also the other Gutangs find (performs air-quote) “sharing” gross.
Teddy: Hmm.
Teddy thought for a moment and came to a solution.
Teddy: As my first duty as the new leader, I declare that the Illiops of Ying will live in the Hard-to-Find-City while the Gutangs will return to their original home. There will be a peace treaty between the Illiops and Gutangs.
Gutang: Deal.
The two shake on it as he flies back to Ying to inform everyone else.
Gutang: What did he say?
Ambassador: The Illiops will live in the Hard-to-Find-City while we Gutangs will reside here. There will be a peace treaty between us.
The Illiops nod in agreement as they go into their houses to pack, after a little while, the Illiops of Ying come to the HTFC on Stratadon back.
Grubby: Stratadons!? Look out!
Teddy: Hold it, Grubby. Look!
They see the Illiops riding the Stratadons, they land and dismount.
Grubby: I thought the Stratadons worked for the Witch of Crimson Mountain.
Ying Illiop: Stratadons can be trained to do pretty much anything, the Illiops who first settled in Ying tamed and domesticated them for work.
Grubby goes over to a Stratadon holding out his hand/foot, the Stratadon moves its head right to Grubby’s appendage as he pets it and it licks his hand in return.
Grubby: (Chortles)
Teddy: I’m so glad you are all here.
Ying Illiop 2: As are we.
Soon enough, as the Illiops settle into their ancient home, the Quartet made up of Teddy, Amber, Grubby and Gimmick are all together in the throne room.
Teddy: Well, I have a really good feeling about the Illiops and the Hard-to-Find-City.
Amber: I do too, with its new leader. I’m sure Theodore the Wise would be really proud of you.
Teddy: But Grubby, Gimmick, what will you do now?
Gimmick: Well, I think I’ll return to the valley.
Grubby: Won’t you ever get lonesome?
Gimmick: Oh, don’t worry about uh me, my boy. I still have Fuzz to eh-eh keep me company.
Teddy: That’s good to hear. What about you, Grubby?
Grubby sadly: I’m not really sure.
The Octopede turns away as Teddy goes to him.
Teddy: Grubby, what’s the matter?
Grubby turns to Teddy with tears in his eyes.
Grubby: Oh Teddy, at first with you and Amber as a couple and now that the Hard-to-Find-City has a new leader in you, it’ll break up the Trio and we won’t hang out as much anymore. No matter where I go, it just won’t be the same without you.
Teddy: Aw Grubby, (hugs Grubby) nothing can break our friendship, absolutely nothing.
Grubby: (Hugs back) Really? Ya mean it?
Teddy: Of course. Also, instead of a Trio, we’re now a Quartet. But, would you like to stay with me and Amber?
Grubby: I’d be delighted.
In the following days, a peace treaty is signed between the Illiops and Gutangs and the Hard-to-Find-City is returned to its beauty and splendor. As well as balance and harmony between all races/creatures is maintained throughout Grundo. Thanks to the HTFC’s new leader Teddy Ruxpin, his girlfriend Amber and his best friend Grubby. A song cue starts.
Amber:
All those days
Watching from the windows
All those years
Outside looking in
All that time
Never even knowing
Just how blind I’ve been
She, Teddy and Grubby sit together on a small wall and look up to the starry sky.
Now I’m here
Blinking in the starlight
Now I’m here
Suddenly I see
Standing here
It’s oh, so clear
I’m where I’m meant to be
She pets a Stratadon that’s right nearby.
And at last, I see the light
And it’s like the fog has lifted
And at last, I see the light
And it’s like the sky is new
She leans against Teddy as the embrace.
And it’s warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once
Everything looks different
Now that I see you
As the three walk around, they see Illiops tending to their peaceful ways; cleaning, baking, fixing, etc. Teddy looks on with pride.
Teddy:
All those days
Chasing down a daydream
All those years
Living in a blur
Grubby:
All that time
Never truly seeing
Things the way they were
Teddy:
Now she's here
Shining in the starlight
Now she's here
Suddenly I know
If she’s here
It’s crystal clear
I’m where I meant to go
They have their arms around each others’ shoulders as they look to the sky.
All:
And at last, I see the light
Grubby:
And it’s like the fog has lifted
Teddy and Amber grasp hands and stand together.
Teddy/Amber:
And at last, I see the light
Amber:
And it’s like the sky is new
They continue walking around the city in the evening, Teddy picks a flower and gives it to Amber.
All:
And it’s warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once
Everything is different
Now that I see you
Now that I see you
(Song ends)
Gimmick still resides in his house with Fuzz but visits his old friends every now and again. However, that doesn’t end the Trio-turned-Quartet’s adventures, no. There are some who aren’t happy with the Illiops returning to the Hard-to-Find-City and peace created throughout Grundo. And those certain individuals are none other than those from the Monsters and Villains Organization. Quellor sees this in the Grundo Gazette.
Quellor: (Frustrated growl)
In frustration, Quellor crumples up the paper and throws it to the floor, he stands from his throne and comes to the other members consisting of the Understander of Legends, Mrs. Maggotheart, Eleanor Tweeg, Ickly Bognostoclum and his flunkies Sludge, Trudge and Drudge.
Drudge: What’s wrong, Your Supreme Evilness?
Quellor: Teddy Ruxpin has returned the lost Illiops to the Hard-to-Find-City and they and the Gutangs signed a peace treaty. With the Seven Crystals in his possession, all of Grundo is in balance and harmony.
Understander: If it weren’t for those infernal Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, all of Grundo would have been ours to command.
Eleanor: Don’t forget Ruxpin and his friends, including my two-timing idiot son. They helped.
Mrs. Maggotheart sweetly: Oh, Mr. Tweeg is in for it now, the dept for betraying M.A.V.O. is (screeching) 200 pieces of copper!!
Sludge: But Tweeg’s not a member anymore.
Ickly: Paragraph 59, subsection 7, even non-members must pay for standing in the way of M.A.V.O.
Quellor: Not to worry. Very soon, the Crystals will once again be in our grasp, Ruxpin and his friends will fall and the Hard-to-Find-City will crumble! It’s not over, Ruxpin! Not by a long shot! (evil laugh)
Everyone: (Joins in evil laughter)
The End.
Yes! The final part to my sequel to "The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin" is finally done, after being on hold, suffering writer's block and busy with real-world stuff. Songs included are from "The Lion King" combined both the Elton John version from the soundtrack and the prologue and epilogue from the film. The last one is from "Tangled".
