Nobody has posted on here for weeks. If not months. What's wrong? Are there not enough Teddy fans in the world? Sorry I'm ranting, but don't you agree that the forum is not active enough?

The forum tends to ebb and flow. I am getting a touch worried myself, though. Visits to the site have remained fairly steady since about the end of 2009... (down a touch from 2005-08 when Teddy was back on store shelves)
Hopefully some new discussions will pop up soon.

Yeah, I've been posting fan-art and fanfiction, but I don't know if that's enough.

Yeah, I agree, and I feel partly responsible. I know I can't single-handedly save a forum, but I was here pretty regularly not long ago. Then school and family life got crazy, and I kept meaning to come back, but never did. Now I'll see if I can help get things moving around here. I may even know a couple of people who would be interested in joining, maybe.

The same happened with me. Life got in the way, and I just never got back here as often as I might've. It was the same on the Star Trek forum that I'm a part of. I would get the e-mails with the posts, but I very rarely contributed to it. But, now, with it being summer, and because of my asthma and heart condition, I can't be outside as much as I would like if it's humid out, I'll most likely be on a lot more in the next little while.

It's especially dead on weekends, when people are out with friends and family, doing whatever they do on weekends, when they don't work or in school. During the week it picks up more though. That's my observation. Now, I've got something to discuss about our favourite Illiop. Look for it shortly on the main forum.

Yeah, I probably have so much time because I'm unschooled, in fact, my school year has been over sinc Febuary.

I have to apologize to you. I have not been getting online like I once did. This is not by design and is not purposeful. Part of the problem is that my knowledge of Teddy Ruxpin is limited because it has been easily 20 years since I have seen one and heard him read me stories. Most of the time, I like to log in here and read the stories and expand my knowledge that way. This is a most friendly board and should remain so. It has been a long time ago for a toy which save for a cult of very devoted and friendly fans, is largely forgotten. Keep the forum going though. Teddy Ruxpin is a great toy, idea, philosophy and canon. I will keep reading and giving my input where I can.

Hi Sylver!! True, some members that haven't been around here since I was only a 1-star newbie are coming back now, so that's a good sign.

Hello. I guess I am remembered here. My life away from the keyboard is really busy for the most part; I don't remember when I had time to sit and post like this. I have seen webforums hang in there and survive for over a year with as few as 6 regular posting members. Most of the topics drift way off topic and most become like "slow chat-rooms" but as long as you will have me, I will come back. That was the attitude on that board as well. Perhaps that might be a way to keep things going; put it in the "off-off-topic" section or something.
Teddy Ruxpin should be the main focus of the board but I do not see why there can't be other topics. We learn more about our forum community that way and it allows for those who might not post regularly to post. (I often do not post to hide ignorance of Teddy Ruxpin.)

Welcome Back Sylver! Thanks for stopping in.... We all do get busy, and unfortunately some from the past have never returned. It's beyond great to see people like you stop back in even if life does take you away from regular communication with us for awhile. Do not ever feel like you shouldn't participate because you aren't as briefed on the history of Teddy as some of us. I for one, and I think I can speak for everyone else too, are happy to fill in gaps where needed

What Josh said.
I'm not a guru on Teddy myself. I was born in '87 and didn't become a fan until well after Teddy's first wave, so you're not alone.
That's what makes this community better than others.
