*sigh*
I was -2 years old when Teddy first came out, and I was a year old when WoW started to go belly up.
Perhaps me and my mom were right about me being born in the wrong part of the decade.

I was 24 years old when the first Teddy Ruxpin made by W.O.W.
Worlds Of Wonder Inc. made other talking toys:
Mickey Mouse / Goofy
Mother Goose / haker
Snoopy / Woodstock

I was 6 when I saw the talker in a store window. It would be 3 years more before I actually got one. The commercials back then were just as magical as the cartoon was.
Any any nay-sayers who say Teddy was too froo froo I'd like them to stand up to make an easier target for me to hit.

It's funny when you think about it.
Everyone remember the Furby craze several years ago? They never would've been possible had Teddy not pioneered the technology.

Funny you should mention the Furby craze. My niece is 8 and I recently bought a Fob puppet off eBay (the purple one). She asked me what it was, and I told her it was a Fob, but she insists on calling it a Furby. I try not to be angry with her, but I also feel a need to uphold the good of the Teddy franchise.

Well to be fair, it's somewhat understandable that someone her age might get them confused.
They're both furry and have birdlike feet and a beak, both have tails (admittedly the Fob tail is more lizard like), and the Furby has ears where the Fob has antennae. Not to mention the names are similar.
