Hello everyone! I love Teddy Ruxpin and I've always wondered how the sound effects for the airship were made. Does anyone have any idea or heard anyone talk about it elsewhere? It's very difficult to isolate on the audio that I have or from the cartoon series, there's usually dialogue on top of it. I would really like a good sample of it that I can loop, it's so calming I'd like to drive to it in traffic.

Hello, and welcome to the forum!! =)
The sound effects guy for Teddy Ruxpin was Russel Brower. He's got an impressive career, having worked in sound design for Disney, Warner Brothers, DiC, Blizzard... I tried finding a website, email, anything like that from him for you, but sadly didn't turn up any leads. There's a lot of info about him, but doesn't look like he's given the public any ways to contact him unfortunately. He did at one point have a Twitter, but it's since been deleted. The two sound designers were Bradley Hartman and Scott Jennings. I couldn't find anything on them at all!
Really these three are the people you'd want to get in touch with to find out how the sound effects were made. I'd honestly love to know too! The scenes where Teddy and crew are outside and you can hear the birds chirping in the background is so relaxing!! (Josh, if you see this, maybe you would know? Or, at least know how to get in touch with them?)
Sorry I couldn't be of more help than this, but at least we do still have the names of the people who put so much heart and soul into making the Teddy tapes sound amazing!

Thank you so much for the information! I'll let you know if I'm ever able to track down anything. I'm definitely not a SFX guy, but it would be worth attempting to recreate it for the fun of it. The whistling part would be easy at least.
