So I made it back to my Teddy things, and I found some interesting cassette tapes that came with him. They're labelled "The Land of Pleasant Dreams". What makes them interesting to me is that they have the WoW logo on them! I'd give them a listen, but I don't have any cassette players at the moment, besides Teddy of course! I know nothing about them, so I was wondering if any of you do? The stories I have are "A Fence Too High", "The Dog That Went Too Fast", "The Bear That Was Chicken", "The Boy Who Wanted The Moon", and "The Girl With The Pop-Up Garden".

Hey again! The Land of Pleasant Dreams was another line of cassette-stories released by WOW a little after Teddy Ruxpin. They came with a book, the cassette, and a stuffed animal of the character in the book (i.e. the dog in "The Dog That Went Too Fast"). I think it was a cost-friendly alternative for families who couldn't afford Teddies, as well as a less-fragile toy for younger children because the stuffed animals didn't have any mechanical components.

Ohh ok! Good to know! The stuffed animals are very cute.

I checked and most of the ones you have are on youtube, if you want to listen. The stories are cute. The ones I've heard so far all teach a life lesson, like the importance of the golden rule. Definitely worth listening, if you have a few minutes.

Do you have any books for these? If so, is there a cast list? Hearing the videos, the narrator sounds familiar for some reason. If possible, I'd like to know who she is. Thanks a lot.

I sadly only have the tapes, but I did find a video of one of the books that showed the acknowledgements! The book is The Biggest Little Girl, and the voices are Russi Taylor, Nancy Cartwright, and Lara Cody.

I thought it might be Russi Taylor but wasn't sure. That would explain why I knew the voice.

That's right. She also did Mother Goose, Hector, Strawberry Shortcake, and a lot of other Disney characters. Her range was incredible, everything from cute kids to elegant like Mother Goose. I miss her.
