Hello everyone! I'm happy to be joining this community. In my collection I have x2 1st gen metal tape deck Teddy Ruxpin, x2 Target Edition WCT Teddy Ruxpin, and 1 Regular WCT Teddy Ruxpin. I first was introduced to Teddy when I was 6 in 1992 with the Playskool version. He lasted a year or so before he stopped moving his face He was my favorite toy, and being a kid that talked to my stuffed animals, it was great to have one that could talk to me. As an adult, I was reminded of my love for Teddy when I found a mint 1st gen Teddy at a thrift store. He worked perfectly. I was hooked. To this day I always keep a Teddy safely stored away, and a Teddy on display that I can "play" with from time to time. I've been quite happy with the new WCT Teddy, but I look forward to more stories being released...fall 2018 is the word. OK....that being said, and thank you for staying with me.... I am wondering if I am the only 30 something year old grown man who still loves Teddy Ruxpin? Is it weird? Should I stay closeted about it? What are your thoughts on being fully grown with toys? I don't really know any other adult that cares about children's toys the way I do, and I remain slightly embarrassed when people find out about Teddy and I. Thanks guys!

It's perfectly fine to enjoy these things as an adult. I'm in college, and I've brought my own WOW Teddy over with me. You're perfectly welcome among us, and there's no need to stay hidden. You like what you like

I just wanted to say welcome to the community. It's always nice to see new members. I agree with Illiopmom. you're never too old for toys. Teddy is one of those friends who is good to have at any age. I started learning about him about two years ago and have loved his stories since. I have a WCT Teddy, a Backpack Toys one and a WoW one.
It's nice to meet you. I hope you enjoy your time here. Have a great day.

There is no such thing as being too old for Teddy Ruxpin. I've loved him since I was a kid even though I didn't get to really experience him back then, and I always will love him.

I'll be 32 come April, and I still happily belt along with Teddy whenever his songs pop up on my MP3 player.
You're never too old to enjoy the things you loved as a child.

Well I make my living as a piano player in restaurants, and a Teddy Ruxpin song has been known to slip in the playlist sometimes. I'm not sure if anyone has caught me though. I'm really glad to see you back BTW.
