Hi,
I had an idea that might be interesting. I've seen two videos about Teddy Ruxpin food recipes and thought it might be fun to make an archive of them for Teddy fans to enjoy. I found a recipe from the "Guests of The Grunges" video for friendship chocolate chip cookies. It was both on KeyIngredient and youtube, this being in the comments of a video called "Guests of The Grunges Video Extras." I copied it the best I could and will attempt to post it here. If anyone has an original copy of the recipe, could you confirm its accuracy, please? The part I'm unsure about is whether the soda mentioned here is meant to be baking soda or supposed to be pop, like this says, because soda is not mentioned in the directions. I'm wondering if the coke part was added in after the fact because of this. It would be highly appreciated if someone could check the correctness of this recipe.
Note: I've made a small change to how the butter is measured. It now says 3/4 cup, rather than 1&1/2 sticks. This may make measuring it easier.
Ingredients
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon soda [Such as coke]
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar packed
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1&1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 12 Oz. package or 1&1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a bowl, mix the butter until creamy.
Slowly add the sugars. Keep mixing until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla. Mix well.
Sift all the dry things and slowly add them.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop from a teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.
