French, not Spanish.. It is "Follow That Ghost", not a display tape. The "Mother Goose Songs" tapes are rather interesting. I wonder if they were never sold..

I was not aware of a Playskool Mother Goose...certainly have never seen one. I would have to assume they were smaller than the WoW Mother Goose and internally downgraded as were the Playskool Teddies. Those Mother Goose Tapes are rather unique, however, and I wonder whether they might have been some type of promotional items.

Funnily enough, I actually own all three of the Mother Goose tapes in the picture you're talking about. There's actually quite a story behind them when I initially bought them. I was visiting Florida from Australia where I live, the listing was live when I was between hotels, but I purchased them anyway because they were quite a find. The first tapes I received were obviously copies of the ones in the listing - Terribly photocopies labels and the like, just not what was pictured in the listing. As the shipping in the US is just so much faster than in Australia, I wrote to the seller with pictures expressing my disappointment. They sheepishly replied after I pointed out the differences and they were lovely enough to send the real tapes with apologies. On my last day in Florida, they arrived, thank goodness! So long story short, I have two copies of each of the three tapes, one original set and one shoddy copy set. They're very unique! I'll try to post some pictures in the next few days. Basically, two of the three tapes contain the original songs that were used in the Mother Goose story tapes, but none of the songs from the later books that were released such as Rumpelstiltskin and Rapunzel. As far as I've tried, there is no animation content on the tapes. The third tape contains all the Mother Goose and Hector songs from the nursery rhyme series, but none of them animate Mother Goose either, although I have not tried with Hector connected. All three cassette tapes play normally in any cassette player, unlike regular Teddy or Mother Goose tapes where you can hear the animation coding blaring over the audio track. The seller, ToyzThatTalk if I remember correctly hypothesized that these were possibly used in the programming of the animation for mother goose and Hector, which I suppose could always be a possibility...

Interesting. There were a few Teddy Ruxpin tapes released that did not have animation coding on them. I wonder if the Mother Goose Songs tapes were meant to be sold as the same type of thing.
You are very lucky to own such rare items!
