I got a 1st generation teddy ruxpin for christmas, and his tape player and upper mouth work really well, but for some reason, his eyes and lower jaw wont move. even if i do the massaging trick it won't work. His eyes feel ok, they dont feel still at all. they seem nice and fluid. his lower jaw, however, doesnt even feel like there is a motor behind it. his lower jaw is all wobbly. can someone help me please?

It could be a stretched belt. I hear that the belts in Teddies that have sat inactive for a while have a tendency to stretch too much and lose their elasticity, making it difficult to move the servos.
Hard to tell unless you crack his skull open.

1st Gens from 1984-85 don't have belts in their head. If it's not making contact then it sounds like his jaw might have fallen out of the faceplate or the skull frame might have a crack in it. It's not too hard to take ruxpin apart if you're careful. Go to Youtube and look up BlueOctopede www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTYHx1tCXAU To take it apart. I'm not sure about the eyes. You might have to open him up to see if the servo is working.
