It is with an extremely heavy heart that I pass along the news that Ken Forsse, Teddy's creator and a dear friend, has passed away. Please keep his family, friends and the fellow Alchemists in your thoughts & prayers during this difficult time. I am looking into ways we can share our thoughts with his family via an online method and will pass that along as soon as I decide on the best way to do it. Thank you All.

I definitely will. This also really saddens me as well as his creation, Teddy Ruxpin was a huge part of my childhood. We will all miss him.

Oh, that's terrible to hear. My condolences and prayers go out to his family.
Teddy was a huge part of my childhood, and I thank him very much for creating him. I had no idea he was that old.

puppetvision - As I said in my Tweet - thanks so much for your blog post, and thanks for joining us here as well. In a world that just shared news of Fred Phelps' demise, I'm glad to see Ken is getting a proper tribute that is deserving of what a wonderful man he was.

I was crushed when I read that Mr. Forsee passed away. This world is a little less bright as a result. RIP.

I really am genuinely sorry to hear this, and my condolences go to all who knew and loved Ken Forsse. It sounds to me like that was a great privilege, and I suppose in a way, all of us were lucky enough to know a part of him through his work.
Like everyone here, Teddy Ruxpin had a real and lasting impact on me. It saddens me to know that Mr. Forsse won't be around for whenever his greatest creation's comeback takes place, and has that very same impact on a new generation.
RIP Ken, and thankyou for the impact that your work had on my life.

This is sad news, expecially since I grew up with this franchise, thanks to Backpack's release of the toy (which I could never find in a store) and Mill Creek's DVD releasea. Everyone will miss you, Kenn.
