Hello guys, Am new to the forum this evening and wanted to share with you all some of the 'Picture Wheel Projector' audio cassettes I have found in an old box which I am about to upload to YouTube. These were 7 cassettes produced exclusively for the Picture Show, which used slide wheels similar to the View Master - and worked with the Teddy Ruxpin Talking Teddy. I have cleaned up the audio and removed the "noise" from the left stereo channel (part of the function of how the tape worked with Teddy). This means that the audio adventure can be enjoyed. This is "Big Little Wooly", adapted from the episode "Elves and Woodsprites" (The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin). youtu.be/spo6QSPIPWMInterest fact, that Phil Baron (Teddy) did not record new ADR/voice for this episode, yet other cast including Pier Kohl (Wooly), Will Ryan (Grubby)and John Stocker (Gimmick) did, despite the fact that Phil aka Teddy recorded all the intros and songs for this interactive audio series. Did anyone else have these marvellous audio tapes? They really made my childhood. Sadly, my Picture Wheel Projector no longer works. Seen a few on eBay recently for a good price. Attachments:

Oh yes and the animation signals are actually on the right channel. The left is the standard audio. The right channel is the animation data used for Teddy Ruxpin's eyes, nose, and mouth to move in sync with his voice and is also the animation data for the Picturw Show Projector to switch slides

Pretty cool. Had never heard these. Will have to listen to the whole thing, but from what I heard so far it sounds like they used the AlchemyII voice talent rather than the Canadian voice talent. Wooly in particular sounds different than the TV Show.
Thanks for sharing!

This was great to hear - thanks for posting it up! ;D
It's neat to see how they adapted the TV episode concerned - and removed the Tweeg-related subplot that was the cause of the fire in the show. It makes a pretty neat fire-safety-related story, with these alterations, I think.
I'm curious as to how the other Picture Show Projector tapes were adapted from the TV series material, now, as this is the first one that I've ever heard (I didn't even know that they'd released the projector in this part of the world - I'd thought that it was a US-only thing). If you have any others, would you mind sharing some info about those, and how their stories were adapted from the TV series, please?

Oh cool. How does that work? Do you put the tape in Teddy or in the projector?

^ You put the tape in Teddy, and the projector is hooked up to the same port that you would connect Grubby or the Answer Box to. (Naturally, as with Grubby and the Answer Box, they also never remade the projector for any other model of Teddy, either, since all of the other models don't have the required port, and use a different animation system that's very specific to just operating the facial motors. )

I recently received one of these as a birthday present via eBay auction. It's new in the box, and I've been hesitant to open it. I have a few of the tapes and reels, but haven't listened to them yet. Should be interesting. You can usually find one on eBay at any given time, so keep your eyes peeled.

If it was me I'd play it, but I'm not the type of collector that likes to see toys kept in a box and never played with. I figure I can't enjoy it if it's in a package.
