Have any of you guys heard Grubby sing in Italian? Do you guys notice how it sounds like he is straining his voice on some of the low notes he hits? It sounds to me like he's growling. I know they used the same music for the foreign languages as they did for the English versions, but I wonder why they didn't change the keys or at least have Grubby take it up an octave? On some songs he does sing an octave higher, but then on a lot of them you hear that growly bass. Sorry for the musical nerdiness.

I've got the Japanese version of Grubby's Romance but don't have an Italian version. Would be interesting to hear As it's one of those things that hasn't been for sale for 25 years and likely won't ever be again, I could make an exception this once if you wanted to post a clip.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgRXvy3YQuoIt's the first song, which I think is becoming my favorite Teddy Ruxpin song, except when Grubby tries to hit that low F, then I want to cry for poor Grubby. Sorry to go off-topic, but I had a little trouble understanding the rules about videos. I know it says you're not supposed to post TV episodes, but what about vids of Teddy playing a tape? I was going to make a vid of my Teddy when I get him, but I'm not sure what's legal here. Is it okay to post him playing his tapes if he comes with him or do I need to have him play something else?

If it's just a minute or two long, Teddy talking is fine. I try to be protective of the viability of the property.... and can't say I agree with those who have posted Teddy telling entire stories on YouTube.

I must say, I love Teddy and Grubby's Italian voices.

I love their voices, but I just think that note was too low for him.

Awesome video, retrobear.
I love hearing how the characters sound in other languages.
