Whilst re-watching The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, I recently got to the point where "The Hermit of Leekee Lake" makes his appearance, and it's set me wondering: Was the book-and-tape series going to follow a similar path to some parts of the TV show (MAVO-related issues aside - I know that MAVO's representation in the TV series is the result of TV-executive meddling to some degree), or was it going to take an entirely different route?
This has also led me to wonder one thing in particular - was Burl, Teddy's father, ever set to appear in the book-and-tape sets?
Does anyone know, or have any logical guesses?

I was just going to ask that question about Burl myself, as I'm just past the arc where he first appears, as the Hermit of Leekee Lake. I mean, it's logical that Teddy's father might've made an appearance in the WoW, since his mother did in "The Day Teddy Met Grubby", which was quite early on in the WoW Adventure Series.

Nearly all of the "Adventure Series" books had been written by the time scripts for the series started rolling. I believe some of the TV series would've been incorporated into the toy had Worlds of Wonder survived for a longer period of time. Hopefully it's not too late for Burl to make an appearance in a Teddy Ruxpin book
