I just came across this on eBay, and had to post it here. What's scary about it, you ask*? *(If you're unfamiliar with Teddy II.) He appears to have had an eye-transplant, and has Teddy I eyes - and they're far too big for him! I know for definite that he's not a prototype, because the Teddy II prototype didn't look much different to the final version; This is how Teddy II is supposed to look (late-WoW on the left, PlaySkool on the right); The creepy-looking, bugging-out eyes aside, the restoration of the Teddy II from the auction is clearly a good one - going by the video in the auction listing, he sounds perfect and correct, and his movements are perfect and correct, too! But those eyes... I just can't get over them...

Ahh! That is strange looking, though in the video they seem to work. It is strange to see a Teddy II in action! I know he only has one motor, but to see it in operation where his eyes can't move when his mouth does is interesting.

I must admit, until I learned last year that it's not possible for a Teddy II to blink whilst speaking, I *never noticed it*, haha...

I can totally believe it. I probably wouldn't have noticed either if I hadn't grown up with Teddy I. The way he'd shut his eyes when opening his mouth wide to singing long notes like a real singer fascinated me when I was little.

The funny thing is, I had a Teddy I before I had a Teddy II (Teddy I didn't work, was replaced several times, and ultimately had to be returned; I got my own Teddy a few years later, and he's still with me ). I still never noticed, for some reason... Perhaps it's the whole suspension-of-disbelief thing? I just wish I could suspend my disbelief about this bug-eyed creature, though! Hahaha...

The eyes in the one on the auction really do appear to be too big...
