At this point, I would give it another day or two - some folks don't have time to respond to e-mails until the weekend.
If you hear nothing by, say, Monday, then I'd start looking elsewhere.

I've actually just now found one on ebay. The auction is almost over and he's in my right price range. They say he's missing the battery back. If he won't play that way I'll have him restored. Hopefully this is the original model. I may still get the other guy if they e-mail me, but I couldn't pass this one up because he was in my price range.

That sounds like a Teddy I to me! If he's missing the battery cover, you'll need to source a replacement one, though - he just plain won't work without it, as it has some of the contacts that are supposed to complete the batteries' circuit.

I lost that one, but I'm currently bidding on two, a 1985 version that the seller has had since he was a kid and he's pretty sure he works and another one that is in desperate need of therapy.
