I'm curious as to how others display or store their collections. I'm stuck in a one bedroom apartment, and I'm trying to find space to store/display them in the living room because they deserve to be shared.
So, where do you put them? And how?

Well, as a kid I had the Teddy Ruxpin books on the bookshelf with the rest of my books, I had the Teddy Ruxpin on the end of my bed with some other stuffed animals (yes I had a collection of stuffed animals as a kid), and the tapes I kept in a denim carry bag that had Teddy, Grubby and Leota on the front, with the World of Teddy Ruxpin logo on it. Now, the bag of tapes, the books and both of my Teddy Ruxpins are in a box somewhere in my basement. Hope this first part helps:)

My Teddies, Grubby, and Mother Goose are sitting on an unused desk in my room. The books are on one of my bookshelves, and the tapes and outfits are in one of those carry-along boxes.

My Teddy (who's a Teddy II) and Grubby sit proudly on my desk. " Weird-Teddy" (a first-run Teddy I with unusual origins), who came with Grubby when I bought him on eBay last October, sits elsewhere, but is brought to the desk when I'm listening to him. I have another Teddy I, who I've been trying to fix. He's currently on a shelf with my Teddy IV. They're also moved to my desk as and when required, the same as Weird-Teddy.

This all helps. Plus, I just like hearing about other's collections. ;D It's nice to know I'm not alone. For the longest time, anyone who found out I had a Teddy seemed to think it was weird. Oddly, now as an adult, most people think it's actually pretty awesome. (Honestly, I think it's a case of people being more secure in who they are.) My boyfriend was alternately awed and creeped out when he saw Teddy and Grubby working together. Mother Goose in particular seems like she'd make a great desk companion. Grubby, not so much, haha. Monkeyboy, in a box in the basement?

This thread's helped me, too - it's reminded me that I need to get a little box for my tapes, instead of keeping them all in a bag on a table. (Teddy IV's cartridges and books are on a shelf in their clamshell boxes, so I don't need to do anything about those.)

Yeah, the basement used to be a hang out space for my siblings and I, where we had a tv, VCR, and all our game consoles and some toys. However, when my mom started working with dyes and took over that space, all the stuff that we had down there, except the game consoles, got packed up in boxes that are stacked up in my dad's model car workshop in the other part of the basement.
I've asked him to dig the books out for me, but he's got a lot on his to do list, so he's been unable to take the time to go through all the stuff down there and get the books out for me. He has promised he'd get to it soon though. Our house is pretty small, so we don't really have a lot of room to display stuff like that. But, when my younger brother moves out, I'm getting his room for a sitting room, so I plan to display my Teddy Ruxpin in there once I get the room all fixed up the way I want it:)

Since 2004 I've been lucky enough to be able to devote an entire room of my living quarters - first an apartment and then my house, to Teddy. I've got a bookshelf full plus a large table that moonlights as a desk. The walls are also covered in posters, autographs, photos and animation cels. My friend Joe says my house is decorated in "early Teddy Ruxpin." I've recently acquired a couple of glass cases that will soon house the oldest and more sentimental pieces to keep the Wyoming dust off of them.

That's what I plan to do once I get my sitting room set up. Have the room devoted to Teddy Ruxpin and my Star Trek collectibles. Luckily, my Star Trek collectibles are in small quantities, so they don't have to take up the whole room. But, Teddy Ruxpin will definitely be on display in that room, once it's all set up.

I have a corner of my room that has three or four shelves with my Teddy collection on display. I have 4 Teddies (2 Teddy I's, a YES! Teddy, and a Teddy IV), 3 Grubbies (2 work, one is dead), purple Fob and Tweeg puppets, the Airship and most of the figures, two Land of Grundo play mats, 97% of the books and tapes (on their own shelf), the outfits, picture show, answer box, the YES! video interaction kit, and a Teddy plush which rides one Grubby's back. My brother also has a Teddy I on his dresser. I'll try to post some pics if I can (it tends to get messy in there). I'm sure I missed some stuff, but you get the idea. Hope this helps.

I wish I could have a room for all the crazy stuff I'm into collecting instead of leaving them in the one closet. If anyone feels comfortable showing off pictures of their collections or their Teddys, I'd love to see them. I have a lot of the figures and the airship too, though I think the balloon got a hole in it we couldn't find. That set was so awesome! I can't wait to find all of those, though I can't bring them all home. At least I've got my Teddys and Grubbys.

I know what you mean. I have so many Star Wars and Star Trek action figures, books and comic books, not to mention all of my Teddy Ruxpin stuff, including the Tweeg figure from the Airship set, and the Land of Grundo playmat. I just don't have the space to display it all right now. But that'll be my intention once my brother moves out and I get his room.

When I get my Teddy, he'll probably be on the foot of my bed. I collect teddy bears and dolls now and I'm trying to start a collection of 80s and 90s tape player toys. Since he's a teddy bear, he'll probably go on the bed with the other teds. Or do you guys think I should put him with the tape players?

Well, that's up to you. But, in my opinion it doesn't really matter whether Teddy is with your teddy bears or your tape players, because he'll be a friend. As a child, I had a small collection of stuffed animals at the foot of my bed, ranging from Pongo from Disney's 101 Dalmatians, to Barney the Dinosaur. Teddy Ruxpin had a place among them, as I used him so often, so my parents didn't bother to put him on a shelf.
