I noticed on the back of my late-WoW Teddy II's book for The Airship, there's a list labelled "Other Teddy Ruxpin Adventures". I presume that this is the complete list of book-and-tape sets that they published for this model, although I don't know if Playskool added any when they picked up the license. I figured that it might be of interest, so I decided to post it here. The list is arranged in three columns on the back of the book, so I've just copied it out from left to right to make one list. The Mushroom Forest Lost in Boggley Woods The Do-Along Songbook Gizmos and Gadgets Grundo Beach Party "Quiet Please" Teddy Ruxpin Lullabies Safe at Home With Teddy Ruxpin Teddy Ruxpin Lullabies II Wooly and the Giant Snowzos Fire Safety With Teddy Ruxpin Water Safety With Teddy Ruxpin It seems that as well as downsizing Teddy himself, they also downsized his selection of books and tapes! (And omitted some popular titles, too.) @kayla, if you read this thread - You're the Playskool Teddy II expert around here; Do their books have a list on the back, and if so, is it any different to the above?

Yep, the Playskool copies have book lists on the back covers as well. The list looks like the same ones on mine.
What they lack in size, they make up for in text. One reason I generally prefer the Playskool books to the WoW books. More that just one or two sentences per page, plus lyrics.
Which is why I'm still looking for a transcript of 'The Missing Princess'. I have an English and Japanese book, but the only tape I have is in Japanese. It'd be nice to know what's being said, as I only understand a few words of Japanese.

The later WoW books do include a transcript of the cassette, complete with lyrics. You can tell the difference usually by the nature of the "World of Teddy Ruxpin" logo on the covers. The later ones are darker and have a bit more shadow work to them, and are just a little more detailed. I recently got my Teddy back from Dr. Eeyore and am noticing that most of the later releases have complete transcripts. While this can be helpful, it does clutter up the rather beautiful artwork. :/ It's a mixed blessing, I suppose. I always associated the WoW Teddy with the little boxes of text in the corners.

Fair enough.
Isn't that why the Backpack Teddies had two books?

Stop the presses! More Teddy II book-and-tape sets DO exist!! And in languages other than English, too! This auction contains a Teddy II version of Tout sur les Ours (All About Bears, in French). I didn't even know that Teddy II cartridges were available in any languages other than English (I figured that the budget never allowed for it at the time that that design was implemented), and All About Bears is NOT in the list that I transcribed at the start of this thread. Moreover, the picture indicates that it's a WoW cartridge, not a Playskool one. What else is out there, I wonder...?
