I am going to finish my first two "Adventure Series" aka Book Reviews this weekend, Love Songs and Summertime... will also divide up the lyrics section into songs from the show and those from the books, as they are usually a touch different. Lullabies II is next followed by Grubby's Romance, The Airship, Take a Good Look and The Day Teddy Met Grubby. If anyone would like to chip in any others please feel free to begin!

What exactly will you be looking for in the book reviews? Stuff on illustrations in the book and on the story from the tape? Because while I only have scans for four of the books, I have 16 of the stories in MP3 format, so I can listen to them and review the stories.

The cover art, two shots from the book (scanned or photographed) the edition(s) it is available in (i.e. The Airship was available in all 4 while Love Songs is only on the WoW Version) For the four "Adventure Series" in the BackPack releases, they will be reviewed separately as the stories changed from the ones released in the first 3 versions. I want to avoid the Yes! releases if we can, except for a few pictures of one or two books to show on the Yes! toy's page.... I don't want to mistakenly encourage anyone to buy that version, and the red shirt is horrid.

Okay. I'm getting the scans for "The Missing Princess", so I can do that one and "Uncle Grubby" for sure. Other than that I won't be able to help much with this project. Sorry Josh.

I've got a few Playskool books I could scan.
I have 'The Airship', 'Quiet Please', 'Lost in Boggley Woods', 'The Mushroom Forest', and 'The Do-Along Songbook'.

I have all the stories from the original WoW Teddy Ruxpin EXCEPT for "Grundo Beach Party". I would personally like to do "The Medicine Wagon" if it is not already taken, as I have very fond memories of that set (and I think "The Medicine Wagon" song is one of the best in the series.) I may ask for your own personal scans, Josh, as my edition of that particular book has been excessively "loved"...which is part of the reason it holds such great memories. I'm sure there are other stories I would like to do, but off the top of my head, that is the only one that stands out. If there are anymore that you would like done, let me know. As Monkeyboy5185 had asked (forgive me for not remembering names...I'm terrible at that...), what exactly are you looking for aside from the "stats" of the book? Are you looking for a brief summary? Are you looking for a personal review? Also, will you being doing any of the other available stories, such as from The Answer Box and Picture Show Series? Just curious. I realize that the Answer Box aren't so much stories, but lessons...and the Picture Show, while I haven't used mine personally, seems to mirror some episodes of the TV series. Very exciting stuff for the site! I'm so pumped!

I have the scans for "The Missing Princess" now, so I can do that. And I may also ask for any scans that people may have, if I do any further ones besides "The Missing Princess" and/or "Uncle Grubby", just because my ability to scan the pages myself is severely hampered by the fact that all my books are packed away now, or have been given away. And I solemnly swear to only use the scans for the purpose of doing the book reviews. But, I would really like to help out on this project as the book and tape sets are what started the whole Teddy Ruxpin franchise. Well, the WoW versions started it all anyway

We can get cover art off of Ebay, if nothing else, and then we could wait till someone with that particular book pops up for some more shots. Feel free to do any reviews you guys would like whether you have images or not. That is secondary. As far as the format, I'm planning on discussing the artwork (the artwork varied sometimes in the original WoW releases, which is why Ken changed it for the BackPack release) which characters were featured and touch on the overall story and moral, and capture any song lyrics from the book. They would be a little less in depth than the TV show episodes, as more is left to the imagination in the books I want a little more to be left for the imagination in the reviews, too. While the TV series is pretty well sold what it's going to sell on home video unless another company comes out with a bluray edition or some special features, these stories are quite a bit more valuable to the property and we don't want to over saturate the web with too much content from them.

Cool. Again, with the exception of the three that I have both the scans and stories in MP3 format for, in order for an effective review of the artwork, I will need at least a couple of scans from the ones that I do, and with my books packed away, I can't get at them to look through them. But, I will do my best with the ones I don't have bookscans for, because as you said, the stories and song lyrics are more important than the images themselves. And at the same time, we don't want to put too little information either, as info on the book and tape sets is scarce. You can't even find a complete list of the books, let alone synopses of them. It's definitely a good project though.

It may be next week before I can get the scans. I'm at school right now, and my books are about four hours away.
