Well, with each new version we're getting closer... but still no cigar.
As word has gotten around anyhow, just want to let everyone know what I've known for a few months now... BackPack is dropping out of the Teddy Ruxpin business. I will let them give an official announcement if they wish.. this isn't one.. but the facts remain the same.
I for one want a period of reflection and give BackPack a chance to officially wrap up before I start thinking about the future.. but we helped bring Teddy back once, and we can do it again. I think this time it may be wise to think outside the box a bit in our strategies.
I would still advise to buy as many Teddy products as you can afford.. including the software packages, etc. This version is definitely more abundant than the Yes! and Playskool versions and will likely be floating brand new around Ebay for awhile.. but I don't like to take any chances.

This is really too bad. I think BackPack definitely met with the most success out of any other post-WoW Teddy Ruxpin endeavor. I was looking forward to seeing more sets released for this one, but I guess that is just a pipe dream now. I wish I had the funds to get just one more bear and a set of software...I should've scooped him up when the official site had him for $45. Now Amazon has him for $70. Ugh.
The software packages are incredibly cheap. Whereas each package used to cost $20 each, you can now get all four for just $27 on the official site.
Let's hope someone scoops up this property in a couple of years and gives it another go. I don't believe we've seen the last of Teddy Ruxpin...not by a long shot.

I figured it would come to this.
Sad really. At least we got the full series now.

Yeah. BackPack definitely had the most successful run since 1985. What a shame it had to end this way...
