As you all know, this coming fall will mark Teddy's 25th anniversary. I have considered many ways to celebrate the milestone. I have wanted to do a documentary for quite some time, but even the most cost effective production would still cost several thousand dollars to produce. I am buying a consumer level video camera this week and will be doing some quality testing to see if it would do the job. If so, I may try to produce a documentary over a couple of years. But needless to say, that dream won't be coming true until well after Teddy's 25th has passed.
In the past I have considered a group get together as well. This seems to be an option for only a few of you. By the late Spring/Early Summer I plan to have a date set for a trip to Las Vegas or Los Angeles for such a gathering. If nobody else can show up, I suppose I will have a good time anyway. But hopefully at least a few of us can get together for some fun. I will try to subsidize the event as much as I can, but the cost of a plane ticket and a room would definitely be required of each participant.
What we can do that is cost effective, however, is individually produce short video clips wishing Teddy a happy 25th and thanking Mr. Forsse and AlchemyII for Teddy's friendship. I think most of us probably have that capability or could rent/borrow the capability from someone for very little $. I work in a retail store and will be more than happy to get inexpensive cameras at a discount for anyone who wants one.
I would like us, as a group, to have something to celebrate Teddys' 25th, and I think individual videos is not only a cost effective way, but also a very personal and heartfelt way to show Teddy's creators how much we still appreciate him.
Let me know what you think everybody.
