Ok if you have the DVD
Check out "Escape from the Treacherous Mountain" @ 20:33 Aruzia points out their home, she then hugs her brother, he glances at her, then has a cheezy grin before winking! 20:34.
There is no reason why he would wink, it is clearly something that was added, possibly by the Taiwanese animators it is so fast, you have to look for it, to see it. Yet it, was part of the key frames for the animation. **shrug**

I think it was kind of an animated blooper made on purpose.

The animation style is clearly different than the series. I have to admit, the series animation is of superior quality than the "Treasure of Grundo" episodes.

I dunno. I found myself liking the animation in the first episodes more.
I noticed when I got my DVDs that the episodes from "The Faded Fobs" to "Grundo Graduation" seemed to suffer more in the animation department than the rest of the series. It was particularly noticeable in "The Surf Grunges." It's the only episode I know of that is actually somewhat painful to watch.
On the Easter egg topic, I found a hidden Mickey in one of the Wizardweek episodes, though I can't remember which. There's also a story about how in one of the episodes, some books in the background had some very inappropriate titles, though I've never seen them myself, and I don't know if they're on the DVDs or not.

Yes Surf was one of the weaker episodes.

I like the music in the Surf Grunge's episode.

Brian LeMay and Jeff Wilson both talk about some animation difficulties in their interviews. Brian actually helped reign in everybody and make things go smoother and was the runner of one of the two crews that worked on the series. The later episodes look much better than the first block. Variations on the look of the characters didn't start in the animated series- the WoW storybooks often would have a different look from book to book. AlchemyII commissioned Maggie Parr, another member of the TR universe kind enough to grant me an interview, to update a lot of it and he also went through and digitally altered a lot of the art for the BackPack re-releases. It all looks much sharper now. A couple of Easter Eggs off the top of my head- In "The Day Teddy Met Grubby" episode, Ken is drawn into the crowd listening to Teddy and Grubby's origin story at King Nogburt's. In one of the later episodes (from the third DVD) Tweeg is attempting to cast a spell and "Alchemy Two" is one of the words in his failed attempt. Tweeg's name in itself is an Easter egg. That's all I can say 'bout that, but had to tease everybody

what character is Ken at Nogburt's castle? There were a few close ups of the court, so I wasn't sure if that was intentional (although I had a hunch it was), so I'm curious as to who is the animated Ken Forsse.

Let me guess: Tweeg is a play on the fabric *Tweed* because the character smells of pee?
Just kidding! I'm trying to re-arrange all the letters in his name to figure out what it could be...
