Hi there.
So here is a quick introduction and bio!
Name: Christine E. Pinkney
How long have I been a fan of Teddy Ruxpin? To be precise, exactly 23 years!
When did you first discover Teddy Ruxpin?
My first experience with Teddy was back in 1986 but my parents did not want to spend $99 and something for a doll, no matter how cool it was. In hindsight I guess they were right, but it did not stop me from being a "fan" I loved the cartoon and followed it with an almost religious devotion. I remember when the TV special aired and it was like one of "the greatest nights of my young life". Somewhere between 1987-1993 Teddy faded into the background. It was not until I hit 13 that I went back and revisited the cartoon and really saw the depth of writing and storytelling that went into it. It was inspirational, and I was hooked once more.
Who is your favorite Teddy character?
Um, I am first and foremost an avid Prince Arin fangirl. Second, I like Grubby because he's sweet. Finally, LB because of his sarcasm.
What else?
I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil. I have a gallery on DeviantART, and am part of the LegRux community with Ben Bonser, and others.
I am a Christian. I love to go to the beach, train my American Pit Bull Terrier Tia, and spend time with my hubby. I enjoy role playing both traditional (as in dice and paper) and online (although I am not doing as much of it as I used to). Besides art, I also am an avid reader of both poetry and prose. Oscar Wilde and Emily Dickenson are two of my favorite writers and poets. I am a history nut. Regarding fan fiction I am a stickler for keeping canon characters "in character." I love anime, comics, and video games in that order. You will find me in the artist's ally at conventions. I am currently a full time student at HCC, and I am studying to become a licensed Optician for the state of Florida.
Anything Else?
Just thank you for letting me part of your community! It is great to meet other fans of Teddy Ruxpin and creatives who respect and share the vision of Mr. Forsse.
Finally, a Disclaimer
I am willing to draw pretty much anything with the following exceptions:
I will NOT draw lewd, extremely gory, or violent images. I will not draw any art that depicts the following: yuri, yaoi, slash, or pornographic images. I reserve the right as an artist to decline any requests to do so. I also reserve the right as an artist to discern what images I will or will not draw.
I wish to make this clear from the very beginning, so that there is no confusion or misunderstanding.
