connection between Teddy and Care Bears

Hi,

I hope everybody's day is going well. I learned something that might be interesting. The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin shares at least three actors with Care Bears. Most notably, John Stocker plays Gimmick and Beastly. If you listen closely to the episodes involving the Anythings, Beastly's voice comes out a bit. The other actors I know of are Abby Hagyard and Les Lye. These two are in both the original specials. One thing this shows is that Les Lye was very good at villain roles. He played Professor Cold Heart and Quellor. Abby Hagyard, who most of us know as Princess Aruzia and Ellinor Tweeg, played Friend, Love A Lot and Wish Bear. If you know of any other connections, I'd be curious to learn.

Lots of people used to say that Tenderheart Bear looked a lot like Teddy.

Do they look similar? I've only ever seen the original Gentle Heart Lamb, along with some of the newer Care Bears. The body shapes are totally different. I don't have a reference point for Tender Heart at all.

Teddy's head and the Care Bear's heads have a similar pair shape.
