Hi,
I've listened to the new stories and would like to share my opinion. They are much less edited than the last batch, which I appreciate. As far as I can tell, only the introductions have been changed, mainly by adding the same message from when he turns on. Otherwise, they are intact. I don't know about "Grundo Springtime Singtime but, compared with the version of "A Happy Sing-Along Song" on youtube, some Fobs join Grubby in the first verse. It's interesting and done well. I've also noticed some different Fob voices in "The Story of the Faded Fobs." This happens in only a few lines. One voice is quite scratchy. I wonder why the company chose to do that? It's not really a negative for me but is a bit odd. My only real complaint is about the sound quality. It is very quiet compared to some of the other stories on that Teddy. Maximum volume is required for best listening. It is also lacking compared to my WoW and Backpack Teddies. I would have hoped the sound would be much better. Remastering the stories would help a lot. Overall, I'd recommend getting the new stories. They do uphold more of Teddy's magic because of less content cuts.
That's my opinion. If you've heard the new stories, feel free to share yours.

I think the reduction in quality has to do with Alchemy II not having/providing WCT with the master audio recordings.

I think the reduction in quality has to do with Alchemy II not having/providing WCT with the master audio recordings. Ugh, if they're dubbing from old WoW cassettes that would explain why the audio quality isn't very good.

All of the original masters have been preserved by the original composer, and these are what WCT are working from.
