I'm sorry if I sounded like I was accusing you of lying DollyPrince, that wasn't my intention. I think I know which Facebook post you're talking about and I know there was a video that accompanied it. I will say that I have posted a question on the official Teddy Ruxpin Facebook page, which I assume is being run by someone from Wicked Cool Toys, and indeed they said the price of the toy will be $99.99 US. The main reason why I didn't look at the Facebook post is because I know what people will be saying, I've read enough posts on that Facebook page to know what people think of the new Teddy Ruxpin. There was an actual picture in the comment section of the post, showing the price at 159.00. It is the price for pre-order at this time, although I am sure they will lower it. But that is the price now. Please look at the picture if you don't believe me. It wasn't made up by angry fans. And you don't have to read the comments themselves. Just look at the picture so you can see the price.

For those who aren't on the Teddy Ruxpin Online Forums group on Facebook, DollyPrince is referring to a recent thread on the Facebook group in which either he or Noah posted a screen capture of what I think was the JR Toy Company website, JR Toy Company are a Canadian toy online retailer and they're charging $159 for Teddy Ruxpin pre orders. I think this price is steep and there's no way I'll be paying that much for the new Teddy Ruxpin even though I do want one.

I just wish that Teddy would look fine with original eyes. I think Teddy is gonna be my first reprogramming project so that he gets brown eyes instead... something looking like this but it'll be the special edition original outfit ver.

Perhaps I should clarify a few things I said in my last post. JR Toy Company at the time of the posts between myself and DollyPrince were charging $159 for Teddy Ruxpin pre orders, that's $159 Canadian, not US, I was told at around that time, that $159 Canadian is equivalent to $118 US, of course the exchange rates change over time. DollyPrince said he heard Teddy Ruxpin would cost $200 USD, that's what he said he heard, but actually that's not entirely correct.

Ah, currency differences.. I didn't know it was Canadian!
$118 is probably the price of the original Teddy in today's money if not more, however I still think it is at least $18 too expensive. It really doesn't look that great quality from just the pictures, and most toys today are made cheaply anyways...

It doesn't seem any more advanced than a 2012 Furby.

They didn't even bother to use real moving eyelids, at least the 2012 Furby managed to do that, and still stay below the price they are asking for the WCT Teddy. Perhaps the price will go down eventually.

I did not say anything about only one story!!! I knew there were 3 stores, teddyruxpin24 is lying!! About the price, you can go to the post I told you about and see for yourself. I am not a liar. Actually, it is even closer to 200 than I remembered!! It is 159.99. Add the 5 dollar price for each extra story (NOT including preloaded ones), and the price for an actual tablet or smartphone (because of course, you cannot download stories without one), and you have a ridiculously overpriced toy, not even close to being worth it. The good thing is the smart device isn't required to use the new TR, and you can still get the new content (what doesn't come preloaded) without using a tablet/phone. You can buy it from the website, and use a usb/microusb cable to connect your TR and transfer the new content.

Uh, no. I got a good one for around 70 bucks and he had more action than whatever this piece of garbage is. I even offered them ideas for an original style and they ignored it.

My original Teddy Ruxpin was around 30 USD I think. But he was broken. Easy to repair however.

But at that time it was all brand new technology. I still think this WCT version is far too cheaply made to be priced that high. They didn't even make moving eyelids, there is only one moving part, even the previous small Teddy versions such as Playskool did that. I believe Playskool one was even cheaper than the original.
