This poll was inspired by an older post that I found in the depths of the forum, in which Josh mentioned he didn't have to feel sorry for the Yes! Entertainment version of Teddy anymore because someone said that they liked his design. So, I ask you: Which of the Teddy Ruxpin designs to date - talking and non-talking - is your all-time favourite? The contenders are shown below! (All images borrowed from eBay, as I only have a WoW Teddy II, a couple of WoW large-size Teddys, and the Little Bopper, and I'm not a very good photographer.) Worlds of Wonder large-size Teddy (Teddy I)Late-WoW/Playskool smaller Teddy (Teddy II) (Late-WoW on the left, Playskool on the right)Yes! Entertainment Teddy (Teddy III)BackPack Toys Teddy (Teddy IV)UK Plush TeddyUS Plush Teddy (The tunic is unfortunately missing from this specimen)Little Bopper TeddyYes! Entertainment Beanie TeddyWith the pictures out of the way, I must say that my vote goes to Teddy II - after all, I grew up with that type, and still have mine. ;D I also find the Yes! beanie to be amusing due to how goony-looking it is, but I must confess that I find Teddy IV to be a little bit scary-looking! (That said, the BackPack Teddy never made it to the UK, so all I've ever seen are photographs - I figure that they may well be less scary in person. ) Which is your favourite?

I grew up with the original WoW Teddy (Teddy I). I actually wasn't aware the Teddy II's existed until the Playskool version. They certainly look different from the original.
I just got my Teddy repaired, and I love him now more than ever!

I have to go with the smaller WoW/Playskool version. He was my first after all.
But I desperately want both the US and UK plushies.

Great poll. I had to go with TeddyI, as it's as supreme - and not in an Oppressing way - either TeddyIV - (BackPack) would be the runner up. The Yes! Entertainment version suffered from so many faults - none of them Teddy's, his creator or AlchemyII's - which makes it all that more frustrating to me that it was the failure it was. Yes! had been given a gift and squandered it. Poor design (that red shirt was bad, but the blue pants were worse) poor quality (I would bet more Playskool versions are working than Yes versions, and they were created with similar parts four or five years earlier) and at the time, a very poor marketing and customer service plan. At the time they were in charge, you couldn't get a straight answer from them about anything. The one plus about that red shirt and costume re-design - at least everyone knows it's the version to stay away from the second they see a picture I do have some sentimental feelings towards TeddyIII though - it came out just as I created this website and met Mr. and Mrs. Forsse.

I love all them the same. I have all of them and I love them all the same. They all look pretty much the same. I don't know why some people hated the 1998 design. He looks the same as the others just a different outfit. Plus even though the 1998 version is the one I grew up with I like all of them the same. I loved Teddy when I was little and still do today

My favourite Teddy Ruxpin is the original WoW Teddy I, even though I have both the WoW Teddy I and WoW Teddy II (not the Playskool release). The WoW Teddy Ruxpins are the ones I grew up with, and was never able to get my hands on any other Teddy Ruxpins, unfortunately.

It's really interesting to see what people's favourite version of Teddy Ruxpin is. We've all grown up with him in various versions or collected the later versions, if we're old enough to have been kids when the original came out, or had the WoW/Playskool Teddy II. It just goes to show that Teddy is here to stay.

Haha, I guess I did! Still, he's less a different variation of regular Teddy, and more a "Muppet Baby"-fication.
