Whew! I'm finally posting this, the longest chapter out of any of 'em. Song is from "The Emperor's New Groove" soundtrack.
Please, don't be shy to give feedback &/or constructive critique. Enjoy!
Cast of Characters: TMNT, Mutant Fellowship, Jack W. Tweeg, Elroy Tweeg, Little Ponies, Felicia Utav, Mia Utav.
Guest stars: Quellor, Trudge, Sludge, Drudge, Mrs. Maggotheart, Giant sea turtles.
Locations: Rillonia beach, ocean, carnival, Dream Valley, Felicia’s hut, Elroy’s beach house, M.A.V.O. H.Q.
In our last story, the mysterious cloaked figure reveals that her name is Mia and that when she was a small child, M.A.V.O. attacked her village, her parents were killed in a conflict with Quellor as well as ending up being kidnapped. Her memory was erased by the Black Box and she grew up as Quellor’s slave. One of the Alicorns, Dolphy gave her a ride to Rillonia where she was reunited with Tweeg and her younger sister Felicia. But later, Quellor found out about Tweeg and Mia in Rillonia.
As we left off, Tweeg, Mia, Felicia and Elroy are at the beach, minding their own business. When they’re greeted by some unexpected guests, sea turtles that are at least 63” x 46” big.
Felicia: (Gasps) Look!
Sea turtles: (Chirping)
Elroy: Giant sea turtles.
The turtles come to the foursome, Felicia and Elroy immediately start petting them, Mia joins in after a second. But Tweeg is reluctant.
Tweeg: They don’t bite, do they? They won’t eat my hand off or anything?
Felicia: They’re herbivores, and they’re very friendly and gentle.
Elroy: Yeah, like go ahead, son, give ‘em a pet.
Tweeg nervously reaches out his hand and the turtle lifts its shell out of the water for Tweeg to touch it.
Tweeg: (Yelps) Hey, hey, this is neat.
He even pets the sea turtle’s head, which Tweeg and the sea turtle both enjoy a lot.
Elroy: Pretty soon, we should get ‘em to let us ride on their backs.
Tweeg: They’d let you do that?
Elroy: Yeah, with a little bribery. And they’re very strong, in fact it was these guys that inspired the invention of surfing.
Mia: Really? Interesting.
Elroy looks at his watch as it starts going off.
Elroy: Oop, I got some errands to do. I’ll catch you all later.
Tweeg: Sure Pop, later.
Elroy leaves as the others continue to interact with the giant sea turtles. After a little while, the turtles leave.
Felicia: Bye turtles. They’ll be back, at this time of year, they always hang out in shallow water. As well as lay their eggs on the beach. Speaking of which, anyone wanna do sand art?
Tweeg: No thanks.
Mia: Eh, not right now.
Felicia goes back onto the beach, although she had hoped to do some sand art with Jack or her sister. After Felicia makes a sand sculptor of a bunny, Mia and Tweeg come back onto the beach.
Mia: Ooh, that’s a beautiful sculpture, Felicia.
Felicia: Thanks.
As the sunsets, Elroy returns with a few things; mostly groceries and other things.
Elroy: Heya gang. Did I miss anything?
Felicia: Nah, not really.
Elroy: Sure is a beautiful sunset.
Felicia: Yeah.
She gets her camera out of a duffel bag of stuff she brought and takes one or two pictures of the sunset. Later, they’re gathered around a campfire on the beach and Elroy tells the origin of surfing.
Elroy: And as the grunges watched the giant sea turtles ride the waves, ziggin’ and zaggin’ at the speed of sound. Not literally of course. But the grunges thought enviously “how could we do that?” Even though the turtles let them ride on their backs, but they’re not always there. So, they tried everything to do like the turtles, they couldn’t ride the waves with just themselves. Although bodysurfing is fun. One grunge even tried it with a large log, but the log was too heavy and round. Another even tried a big flat stone, but that was much worse. They realized they needed something flat, and light. So they started carving boards out of wood. They looked like flying saucers. They tried ‘em out, but realized they were flat enough but were too round. So, they carved more oval shapes out of wood. And those were the very first surfboards. Thus surfing became a highly popularized water sport everywhere.
Felicia: Awesome.
Tweeg: Wow Pop, so that’s how surfing came to be.
Elroy: It sure is. Now, what else is there to talk about?
Tweeg: How ‘bout mentioning what’s the one thing that ticks us off more than anything?
All: (Various agreements)
Tweeg: All righty, I’ll go first. Hmm, what do I really not like? I think when someone doesn’t get my name right, calling me “Tweed” or “Tweeze” or “Tween”, you name it. Felicia?
Felicia: What really ticks me off more than anything is when someone calls me “little” and “cute”, I’ve felt that way since I was like eight or so. Elroy?
Elroy: Hmm, what do I really not like. Probably when my ex-wife used verbally abuse me. Mia?
Mia: That would definitely be villains of any kind. Especially those from M.A.V.O. and anyone like Quellor who hides their face and is truly evil in nature.
Tweeg gets a little uneasy hearing her dislike as he used to be a villain who tried to be a member of M.A.V.O. Mia notices.
Mia: You O.K., Tweegy? You seem kinda pale.
Tweeg: (Stammering) Uh yeah, I’m fine. I just uh… notice… (makes something up) your eyes are like amethysts.
Mia flattered: Really? Gee, thanks.
Elroy: Well, it’s getting late.
Felicia: Yeah, I gotta get up tomorrow to mind the shack.
Tweeg: I’m kinda tired, also. Well, good night.
Mia: See you guys tomorrow.
They return to their homes. As Tweeg gets into his hammock, he thinks a bit about what Mia said.
Tweeg thinking: Gee, Mia does not care for villains. I can see how she dislikes Quellor and M.A.V.O., they’ve given even me a hard time. I’d hate to imagine how she’d react to how I used to be a villain and tried to become a M.A.V.O. member.
Soon enough, he falls fast asleep. The next day, Felicia is minding the stand with Mia helping. That’s when Tweeg show up.
Tweeg: Heya Mia, Felicia.
Mia: Hey.
Felicia: Yo.
Tweeg: I brought the doughnuts you said you’d help me sell, Felicia.
Felicia: Awesome.
Tweeg: Hey Mia, in a little bit, you wanna go for a walk?
Mia: Sure. I’ll just get everything set up.
Tweeg stands on the beach, watching the waves come in and out, also soaking his feet in the water as it comes onto the beach. Soon enough, the shelves are stacked and many things are put on display.
Felicia: Thanks for the help, sis.
Mia: You bet. Well, Tweeg and I are gonna go for a walk.
Felicia: Sure thing. Though, while you’re out, think you can collect some seashells for making necklaces and earrings and such.
Mia: Oh sure.
Mia goes to Tweeg.
Mia: Ready?
Tweeg: Yup.
They go off, walking along the beach. Felicia watches them go off, though she feels somewhat ditched for she had somewhat hoped that Mia would help her run her shop.
Felicia thinking: Aw, first neither of them wanted to make sand sculptures with me and now Mia doesn’t want to run the shop with me.
Meanwhile, Tweeg and Mia are walking along the beach, spotting a starfish on the beach.
Tweeg: Hey, a starfish.
Mia: Yeah.
They notice it’s still moving some so Mia picks it up under a handful of sand and puts it back in the water. She washes off her hands in the water.
Mia: There. (brushes off hands) That reminds me, I wonder what happened to the starfish necklace that used to belong to my mother.
Tweeg: Good question.
Mia: It’s all that I have left of my folks.
They continue to walk along the beach. They stop at a spot and skip stones on the water. Mia has a little more success than Tweeg, but after a little while, he gets the hang of it. Later, as they start walking back, Tweeg picks up a conch shell and holds it to his ear, but…
Tweeg: Yeow! Hoo-hoo-hoo-hooey!
The shell had a crab in it which latches to Tweeg’s ear with its claw! But Mia takes a stick and bats the crab off, it flies into the ocean.
Tweeg: Ow, ow, my ear. (cries)
Mia: Ooh, your poor ear looks pretty beaten up. Elroy or Felicia might have some peroxide.
Tweeg: Yeah.
They head back, Tweeg goes to his new place and finds some peroxide. Dunking a q-tip in the stuff and swabbing the wound on his ear.
Tweeg: Ouch, ouch! (cries) That smarts. Ouch!
Elroy: Hey dude-nick, what happened to your ear?
Tweeg: Ack! I tried to listen to the ocean in a shell but there was a crab in it which pinched my ear.
Elroy: Ooh, that’s gotta hurt.
Tweeg: Yeah.
He puts an extra large adhesive bandage on his ear. And returns to Mia whom is at Felicia’s shack.
Felicia: Hey Jack, Mia told me about your ear. Eww, I hate crabs.
Tweeg: Yeah, from this moment, me too.
Felicia: Oh, Mia, did you get those seashells?
Mia: Oh no, I didn’t! (bops herself on the forehead) Duh! I’m sorry.
Felicia: Oh, that’s O.K. I’ve got plenty of time ‘til I usually close up shop, so we can look for ‘em together.
Mia: Sounds neat.
Tweeg: Uh, actually Mia, I was wondering if you’d like to go out to lunch?
Mia: Sounds great. (to Felicia) Uh, we’ll look for shells later, Felicia.
Felicia: Uh sure. O.K.
They leave as Felicia still minds the store, she leans her elbow on the front desk, supporting her chin on her hand and drums her fingers.
Felicia thinking: Man, second time today Mia finked out on me. I want to spend time with those two also, Mia’s my sister and Tweeg seems like a really fun guy.
That evening, Tweeg and Mia return from lunch, Felicia’s still at her shack and Elroy shows up.
Elroy: Hey gang, there’s a carnival in town.
Felicia happily: A carnival?! Goody!
Mia: Sounds awesome.
So, Felicia closes up the shop and she, Elroy, Mia & Jack leave for the carnival. After getting passes, they do the pirate ship ride first.
People: (Whooping and hollering)
Next was the Ferris wheel, Tweeg and Mia are in one car while Felicia and Elroy are in another.
Mia: What a great view.
Tweeg: Yeah.
After that, Felicia does the balloon and dart game, she wins a blue stuffed unicorn.
Felicia: Whoo-hoo!
Elroy: Hey, awesome job, Felicia.
Felicia: Thanks. Hey Mia, Tweeg, did you see…
She turns to them, but they just got in line for the Troika ride.
Felicia disappointed: Oh, I guess not.
She becomes disappointed that her sister nor Tweeg noticed her win a prize. But she goes to join them anyway. However, the ride operator has Tweeg and Mia in one car and Felicia by her lonesome in another one much to her dismay.
Felicia: (Sighs)
After the Troika, the three troll-grunges do the bumper cars. Once again, Tweeg and Mia are in one car together while Felicia is in another car with some other person who turns out to be a backseat driver.
Person: Ram that person in the blue one! Go left! The other left!
Felicia is annoyed with that person. Afterwards, Felicia wins another game, this time the shooting gallery with paper cups, insides mark S, M or L. She wins a couple of small bunny stuffies but trades them for 2 medium-sized dragons, one green and one purple.
Elroy: Wow Felicia, you’re really good at the target-hitting games.
Felicia: Thanks.
She notices that once again, Tweeg and Mia are getting food and didn’t see her win a prize, much to her frustration. But soon enough, they’re on a bench, eating nachos and French fries.
Tweeg: Whew! Well, I’m sure having a great time. How ‘bout all of you?
Mia: Sure am.
Felicia: Ditto. Oh, Tweeg, here’s the money I made from most of your doughnuts. I wasn’t able to sell all of them though.
She hands him a small box which is filled with gold and coppers.
Tweeg: Ooh, thanks Felicia. You’re all right.
Mia: I’ve never done anything like this before?
Elroy: Really?
Mia: Yeah.
Tweeg: Me neither.
Felicia: I used to do this a lot when I was a kid.
They finish the fries and nachos.
Elroy: Mmm, the food’s not bad.
Felicia: Yeah. I’ll get some funnel cake.
She goes over and gets funnel cake, as well as a bag of cotton candy. Mia tears off a piece and eats it.
Mia: Mmm, tasty.
Felicia: Yeah, the best carnival food is the funnel cake.
Tweeg: (Eats a piece) You said it.
After they finish the funnel cake, Elroy gets up from the bench and looks at his watch, 8:02 p.m.
Elroy: Well, it’s eight o’clock now.
Tweeg: Yeah, I think I’m ready to head back.
Felicia: Same here.
Mia: Sure thing.
They go off, back home. Felicia gets in bed with her new stuffies, Mia notices that something’s eating her sister.
Mia: Hey Felicia, something up?
Felicia: Eh, it’s nothing really.
Mia: Aw, you can tell me. I’m your sister.
Felicia: Well, I was kinda hoping to do stuff with you and/or Tweeg, we didn’t get the same cars on the rides and you two didn’t see me win these cool prizes.
Mia: Ohh, sorry Felicia. But at least Elroy saw you win ‘em.
Felicia: Yeah, and he’s a real swell guy. Though, I’ve known him for a long time and I’ve barely got to know you nor Tweeg.
Mia: Well, we’ll do something fun together tomorrow, I promise.
Felicia: (Smiles) O.K.
Mia goes into her room as Felicia changes into her jammies and goes to bed. The next day, Tweeg (now without the band-aid) and Mia are on the beach. They watch the giant sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand then return to the sea.
Mia: Hey, let’s see if we can ride them.
Tweeg: Yeah. Pop got garbanzo beans the other day and he said the turtles really like them.
He zips back to the beach house and gets a small bag of garbanzo beans, but before they can get into the ocean, Felicia shows up.
Felicia: Hey guys, wanna toss the Frisbee around?
Tweeg: Maybe later, Felicia. We’re going to try riding the giant sea turtles.
Felicia: Cool, I’ll go too.
Mia: Uh actually, there’s only two of them and they can only support one person at a time.
Felicia sadly: Ohh. O.K.
Tweeg: Well, later Felicia.
Mia: See ya.
Felicia: (Waves)
The two go into the water as Felicia goes off, dejected. She comes upon Elroy waxing his surfboard.
Felicia: (Sighs)
Elroy: What’s up, Felicia?
Felicia: Eh lately, Tweeg and Mia have been ditching me to do stuff together.
Elroy: Y’know, I noticed something like that last night at the carnival. Unless I miss my guess, they’ve been struck by Cupid’s arrow and are becoming lovebirds. Ya get what I’m sayin’?
Felicia clueless: Uh, sort of.
Elroy: To put it simply, they’re falling in love.
Felicia disgusted: Love? Ugh, gross!
Elroy: (Chuckling)
Felicia: Well, I’m going to Dream Valley. Maybe someone there will hang with me.
Elroy: Later!
Felicia: See ya.
She goes off towards Dream Valley. At that time, Tweeg and Mia feed garbanzo beans to the giant sea turtles, they eat right out of their hands.
Turtles: (Munching)
Tweeg: (Chuckles) Hey, this is pretty cool. Now how do we get on their backs?
Mia: Felicia told me about it. We need to go in deeper water though. So just grab on.
They hold onto their shells as the turtles swim out further into deeper water. Until finally when the water seems deep enough…
Mia: Now gently, climb on.
They climb onto their backs and sit there.
Tweeg: (Laughs) This is great! Absolutely, the only way to travel!
They notice a large rock not far from where they are.
Mia: Hey, let’s get on that rock.
Tweeg: Yeah.
With some more garbanzo beans, they lead the turtles to the big rock in the middle of the sea. Climbing onto it.
Mia: Thank you, dear turtles.
Tweeg: Yeah, thanks for the ride, fellas.
The turtles swim off as Tweeg and Mia look out on the horizon. Meanwhile, Felicia arrives in Dream Valley and finds the TMNT practicing ninjitsu with the Mutant Fellowship observing. Being a shy person, she hides behind a tree. That is until Stella notices.
Blazer: What is it, Stella?
Stella: I could’ve sworn there was someone or something behind that tree there.
Phoebe: Eh, probably nothing to worry about.
Stella: Well, I’m gonna check it out.
She goes towards the tree and finds Felicia.
Stella: (Meows)
Felicia: Aw, hey kitty-kitty.
She starts petting and scratching Stella with the mutant cat being all cuddly and affectionate.
Stella: (Purring)
After a minute, Stella goes back to the others but Felicia still stays behind the tree.
Donatello: What’d ya find, Stella?
Stella: A person, good guy.
The Turtles and Fellowship come a bit closer to the tree.
Leonardo: Come on out, don’t be nervous.
Felicia comes out from behind the tree and meets the TMNT and MF.
Stella: Hi, I’m Stella and they’re my posse, Phoebe, Luna and Blazer, we make up the Fellowship of Mutants.
Felicia: Hello, I’m Felicia.
Donatello: Hey, we heard about you from the Ponies and Spike.
Leonardo: Yeah. We’re the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I’m Leonardo, they’re my brothers Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo.
Felicia: I’m pleased to meet all of you. Well, I was coming by to see if anyone wanted to toss the Frisbee around.
Michelangelo: Oh, radical notion, Felicia.
Leonardo: Sorry Mikey, we have ninja practice to do.
Phoebe: Then can we hang with Felicia?
Leonardo: Sure.
Fellowship: (Cheers)
The Fellowship and Felicia go off towards Paradise Estate as Mikey turns to Leo.
Michelangelo: Hey, how come they get to do something fun and we can’t?
Leonardo: ‘Cause they did ninja practice last time we were here and you three finked out.
Donatello/Raphael/Michelangelo disappointed: Aww!
As the Turtles continue to practice, Felicia and the Fellowship come to Paradise Estate where they meet up with Fizzy and Buttons.
Blazer: Hey Fizzy, Buttons, wanna toss the Frisbee around?
Buttons: Sure!
Fizzy: Yeah!
They start tossing the Frisbee around to each other, Felicia tosses it out, Blazer catches it in his mouth, he throws it out.
Fizzy: I got it!
She catches it but spins it on her horn.
Phoebe: Good one, Fizzy!
Fizzy: Thanks.
Fizzy tosses it, Felicia catches it. They continue to toss the Frisbee to each other. Meanwhile, Tweeg and Mia are on that rock in the middle of the ocean watching the horizon.
Mia: It sure has been a wonderful week so far.
Tweeg: Yeah, it sure has.
Tweeg turns to Mia and sees her purple eyes sparkle.
Tweeg: Ohh, your eyes are like amethysts. Eh, that sounds kinda corny, doesn’t it?
Mia: No, not at all. Over the past few days, I’ve realized something about you.
Tweeg: W-what’s that?
He becomes somewhat worried that she may have found out about him being a former villain for M.A.V.O. But she just leans closer to him.
Mia: That you’re awesome.
He smiles and leans against her as well.
Tweeg: You’re awesome, too.
They continue to look over the horizon until the sunsets, they lure back the giant sea turtles and ride back to the beach. At that time, Felicia notices the sun going down as she catches the Frisbee that was tossed by Stella.
Felicia: Well, the sun’s going down, I should probably be getting back before it gets too dark.
Stella: Sure. It was great meeting you, Felicia.
Luna: Too right, was real bonzer tossin’ the Frisbee around with ya.
Felicia: You guys are really great too. Though…
She sits on the ground as the Fellowship, Buttons and Fizzy come to her and just when the TMNT arrive.
Stella: “Though” what?
Felicia: I’ve been wanting to hang out with Tweeg and/or my sister Mia, but it seems they like each other more than me.
Buttons: Aw, I’m sure that isn’t true.
Felicia: Well, Mia said we’d do stuff together but ends up finking out to hang with Tweeg. I want to hang out with either of ‘em.
Stella curls up on Felicia’s lap as Leo kneels to her, placing his hand gently on her shoulder.
Leonardo: Buttons is right, Felicia. I think I know why you feel this way. I think you’re jealous.
Felicia: Jealous? Me?
Stella: Hey, I get jealous all the time, when someone who I want to be paying attention to me is talking to someone else, I come right up to ‘em.
Raphael: Well on Stella, jealousy is cute.
Stella moves off of Felicia as she and Leo get back up.
Donatello: I think you should think about it some more.
Fizzy to Felicia: For sure. Wanna ride back?
Felicia: Sure.
Felicia gets on Fizzy’s back, they ride back to Rillonia. They return right when Tweeg and Mia come up onto the beach. Elroy sees them all returning.
Elroy: Hey gang. How’s it goin’?
Tweeg: Went really great. Mia & I rode the giant sea turtles and watched the horizon.
Elroy: Awesome. How ‘bout you, Felicia? How’re the Ponies?
Felicia: They’re doin’ all right.
Fizzy: Yeah, Felicia’s really great fun. Well, I’d better be going, bye everyone!
Elroy: See ya, Fizz!
Fizzy goes back to Dream Valley.
Elroy: We’d better get going too.
Felicia: Yeah, I gotta run the shop tomorrow.
Mia: Night Tweegy.
Tweeg: You too.
He gives Mia a quick little kiss before leaving, she smiles and blushes slightly. However, this just makes Felicia even greener with envy as she storms back to her place, Mia following after a second. Tweeg and Elroy return home. As Tweeg gets into his jammies, he realizes his love for Mia but is reluctant to tell her about his dark past. Also starts up a song cue.
Tweeg:
I’d never imagined before
That the world could be turned on its head
I’d never have thought
To be here in this place
I’d never have dreamt that in love
I’d be lost and so easily led
I guess I was caught
By that hint of a smile on her face
He turns to the mirror and smiles for a brief second, it fades away.
I thought I was happy before
When my life was as easy as pie
But that was the past
Of an ignorant youth
He puts his hand over his rapidly beating heart.
I’m falling in love with the girl
But I’m forced to be living a lie
And she’d never love me
If she knew the truth
He imagines her reaction to his dark past, up and leaving him in a huff.
Is it asking too much
If I pray for a miracle, miracle
That one day she’ll love me
One day she’ll say I care
At that time, Mia also realizes she’s in love with Tweeg.
Mia:
Although he’s changing day by day
He finds these tender words of love
Impossible to say
She imagines Tweeg coming through the door, being romantic in a silly way.
He walks in the room
And I’m never quite sure
If he’s trying to be somebody else
I’m liking him better that he’s
Not his arrogant self
The image fades away as Mia looks out the window into the darkening sky.
Perhaps I’m expecting too much
Of a miracle, miracle
One day he’ll love me
One day he’ll say I love you
And I will love him until I die
Tweeg looks up into the stars.
Tweeg:
Distant Star
Cast your light
On my life
He plucks a star out of the sky and holds onto it as it glows brightly, there’s a double screen with Tweeg on the left and Mia on the right.
Tweeg:
And one by one
Mia:
I didn’t anticipate feeling the power of love
In this way
Tweeg:
And day by day
Mia:
We’ve never been closer than this
And I find myself daring to pray
They climb onto some big stars as they fly them into the sky and to each other.
Tweeg & Mia:
We’ll find these tender ways of love
Impossible to disobey
They turn away from each other for a moment.
Tweeg:
One day she’ll love me
Mia:
One day he’ll say I love you
They turn back to each other, smiling.
Tweeg:
And I will love her
Their stars come together as they walk closer and lock hands.
Tweeg and Mia:
Until the moment
Our hearts stop beating
And we are light
Right when they embrace, they explode into starlight as the song fades and returns to reality. Tweeg gets into his hammock. At that time, Mia notices Felicia in bed, curled up grouchily.
Mia: Hey. You O.K.?
Felicia: (Turns to Mia) You said we’d do something fun together today.
Mia: Oh crud, I got so caught up in other stuff, I forgot.
Felicia just turns her head away from her sister.
Mia: But we’ll do something fun tomorrow, I promise. Well, good night.
She goes into her room as Felicia lies there, overwhelmed by jealousy and frustration.
Felicia thinking: That’s what she said yesterday. If they’d rather hang out with each other than with me, then they can both just go away for all I care.
At that time, the M.A.V.O. airship, the Eclipse is just finished being repaired from its conflict with the Alicorns. Quellor comes just in time.
Quellor: Well, are the damages repaired?
Sludge: They sure are, O Supreme Oppressor.
Mrs. Maggotheart: And the crew should be ready whenever you are.
Quellor: Perfect. We leave for Rillonia tomorrow at dawn. (laughs evilly)
Well, references include "The Simpsons", Teddy Ruxpin ep. "On the Beaches" and a dream I had one night.
