Subject is the TLDR, lol.
But is a good summary. I went to the local outdoor flea market and rescued a teddy ruxpin from the trash. He was in a pile of abandoned stuff. Transient vendors who only set up for a day often do this with stuff they dont want to take back home. I figured it would serve as a backup for the one we have since childhood, but he looked...well...creepier than I remembered. But it has been years since I looked at one so I had to check online for image comparison and, when I got home, with my childhood one. Its different looking and can't really find any comparisons online for it so I thought I would hit up the collective wisdom of members here.
All the dates on him are for 1984-85, but his head is completely different. The only other thing I noticed that was different from our 85 TR is the cassette head that grips the cassette to move it along is shaped differently than this one.
There were two tapes in the pile and seem perfectly ordinary like the ones we got other than someone wrote A and B on each side. Im just guessing it was maybe for like a daycare or preschool and the original eyes broke and they attached these over it? Or someone modified it or something. It doesn't look like any existing models that I've looked at on google image so I'm assuming an enterprising parent did a patch job on it. Thanks in advance! Actually been enjoying reading all the stuff on the forums and checking out all the stuff on youtube.

Edit: He is currently in quarantine for a bit to make sure there arent any bugs or anything before I clean him. I put batteries in him but he didnt respond. So I need to crack him open to clean him. Which should be fun, I always enjoy taking new stuff apart.
