Hey everyone, what's your go-to for cleaning the white parts of Teddy Ruxpin (Mouth, ears, footpads)? And not just giving him a wipe down but actually getting some of that new look back into his fur.
One of the repairers on YouTube was giving him a clean with watered-down isopropyl alcohol, but I'm not sure if that would be the best solution.
Cheers

Hi! I saw that about alcohol too. I've only used wet wipes so far but I do need to have a spa day with my collection and get them looking their best.

Okay, I now have first hand experience and have compared cleaning with just plain wet wipes, versus soaking and scrubbing with 50/50 vinegar/water solution, and I can say soak/scrub is much better at cleaning the white parts (nose/ears). I had a Gen3 Goodwill buy that was very ratty and dirty, with brown stains on the nose. I tried cleaning him with a wetwipe, but it didn't really make a noticeable difference. Next, I tried the recommended scrub with vinegar/water, and using a washcloth, gave him a good scrub all over really soaking/scrubbing the nose as described in that video. That definitely helped clean up the brown stains, and he looked much better after a good blow dry and gentle brushing. The vinegar and some febreeze really helped him smell better too!

Great to know, thanks! Sorry, I've been MIA for a while.
