Thank you Vincent for your comments. Much appreciated. I have tried my best to keep this place civil. Most of the time that is an easy task, because overwhelmingly the fans most loyal to Teddy are those who want to emulate the kind of cordial, fun interaction he had with the other characters on the show (the friendly ones, at least.) There have been a handful in 15 years who have made me wonder exactly what story they were exposed to, as they didn't capture those same ethics at all. One of them might have actually been Tweeg. One of them did try to cause a lot of problems. I can't and don't speak for anyone, but it would be my guess that the 'fans' who shoot the canonballs are the ones who keep people away from everyday interaction with fans on a medium such as this. I am VERY humbled, lucky, proud, etc. to have had the chance to develop the friendships I've got the chance to make resulting from this project, which began when I was just a kid. I think everyone has some streak of luck in their life and this was definitely mine. Whether they ever come here and interact with us individually or not, I know all of us appreciate the gift the creative team behind Teddy gave to us. I am very proud to call all of you my friends as well. We are a good group of folks. Like Cyborg said, we all had a very good teacher - and we're good students. I know in my day to day dealings in the world I sometimes grow weary from negative experiences with humanity. I often think of this little group of folks and smile. The world could really learn something from us. Hopefully our teacher will be back to help a new generation along sometime soon.

The Forsse's have been friends of mine for about 15 years and contacted me initially through the site - so they're definitely aware of at least this slice of the online Teddy community Mr. Baron is an acquaintance and also aware of the site. Other voice talent I've been in contact with through the years includes Katie Leigh, John Koensgen and Abby Hagyard. As far as anyone getting involved here - that is totally up to them. Sometimes a few overzealous or mean spirited fans can ruin the opportunity for the many. This pertains to anything, and not necessarily to anyone involved with Teddy. Just sayin'. Sometimes people just want to maintain a certain amount of privacy.

Pretty cool. Had never heard these. Will have to listen to the whole thing, but from what I heard so far it sounds like they used the AlchemyII voice talent rather than the Canadian voice talent. Wooly in particular sounds different than the TV Show.
Thanks for sharing!

It's unlikely they would have went to the trouble to make a prototype from old WoW Teddy parts just for a photo shoot. I also haven't heard of any rare Teddy from WoW other than the prototypes.
In any case - it's not a Yes! version in the photos.

Thanks for sharing the link. I checked out the old Yes website a couple years back on archive.org and got a kick out of that an this looks like a similar archived version. You will notice in the photo of Teddy and the kid on the main page, the Teddy pictured is a Teddy I (WoW) dressed up in the Yes version's red outfit rather than an actual Yes! Teddy pictured. This was likely due to production being delayed and needing to get some promo stuff done in the meantime.
I am not a big fan of this version, but at the time it was exciting to have Teddy back on the market.

Hopefully there will be something official to say about this soon. It's an idea being thrown around, for certain. Phil Baron worked in the recording industry for a long time, so the music should be in good hands.

I've done some thorough observation on internet discussions related to the movie 'TED' and Teddy Ruxpin is noticeably absent from almost all of them. Even on Twitter, the keywords 'Teddy Ruxpin' aren't appreciably more popular than an average time when the name isn't being dropped in what will probably become a $100 million dollar movie. It kind of proves to me that all publicity isn't necessarily good publicity. A name drop in a popular film could be a great reference for Teddy if it was the right kind of film - but Ted's viewers are mainly going to be two types of folks - ones that have already long known about Teddy Ruxpin, and ones with too short of an attention span to even recall the scene he's named in or the name itself by the time they get near Google. My ex-girlfriend wants to go see Ted this weekend. We're talking about getting rid of the 'ex' so I guess I will be game and go. I hope it doesn't step all over the innocent joy of my childhood. It's got to be better than Paranormal Activity 3 was, on the bright side

Vilicles is right - there are no lost episodes or footage from the TV series.
Presumably, some episodes were edited for time and very small snippets of animation and voice may have ended up on the cutting room floor. It's very hard to plan for exactly the amount of time you have for a production without having to cut something or add something later. But, to my knowledge, that was nothing significant and certainly won't be appearing on the DVD set.
I wish they would include the couple of minutes of test footage that exists from the movie that was never to be in 1987/88. The voices are all fill ins except for Teddy's (much like a casting agent reading with an actor for a screen test) but it's still cool to see a glimpse of what could have been.

My sense of humor isn't easily shocked and I have a wide range of interests, including entertainment - but Ted crosses some lines I just don't think are necessary. It fits some people's sense of humor and irony, and that's fine for them, but it isn't for me and I don't plan to ever see the film. The actual mention of Teddy Ruxpin's name I wish they had left out though. There is going to be very little of the 'TED' audience who doesn't already remember Teddy who remembers the name long enough to get home and google it. My web stats have not increased significantly from either the TED movie nor the HORRIBLE "Paranormal Activity 3" which came out this fall and exploited TR as well. If I could do it all over again and could switch movies, I'd gladly watch TED instead of The Paranormal Activity 3. I'd rather be slightly offended than bored.

Yes, Cyborg, I can confirm that was a response from Mr. Forsse.
I edited the original post from TeddySonicFan slightly as well as the headline to make it "G".
Mr. Forsse, as you can see in his response, was blindsided by a cold call from the TMZ "organization" and did not actually say anything negative about the film. I will let his response speak for itself.

I like these. I live close to the headquarters of this organization and their billboards always light up my day when I pass them too.

Great topic. Dr. Claw and Quellor are much the same. It's not a coincidence, I think, that DiC produced both series as well. Jean Chalopin and Andy Heyward found a very good formula for villains in 80's toons. I like them both, although I think the Quellor formula can change a bit when the story evolves and comes back. I can do Dr. Claw's voice, btw Usually in the middle of an otherwise normal conversation. It's funny to see people's reactions!
