Upped the saturation, played with the sharpness and contrast till it looks good pretty much.

This video is of the live action Teddy Ruxpin special that aired on ABC in 1985 that was made with actors in costumes of the characters instead of the later cartoon. I believe it was also what Mr. Forsse planned to do for the entire Teddy Ruxpin series, but animation was far cheaper. Judging just from the staging and costuming of this special alone, I can't even imagine how much it would have cost to do it. I totally want a full-length version of Ilana singing "Come Dream With Me Tonight," though. It is interesting, though, that the Teddy costumes from this special, the "Come Dream With Me Tonight" video, and the live-action intros and outros to the cartoon videos had different heads. |

So that was Teddy's mom singing at the beginning of it? Was it a flashback to when he was a baby or something? I thought it was just a lady voice singing but I never could figure out why she was there instead of Teddy.

She sings for a while before the camera pans over to focus on the half of the medallion next to them. It's then that it cuts into the "15 years later" part of the video where Teddy and Grubby stop to rest. |

It's one of the most adorable scenes, since we also get to see Ilana holding a tiny baby Teddy in her arms. I know he's just an animatronic puppet, but he's still one of the cutest things. I thought the head used in the VHSs of the animated series was taller and thinner than the other two. |
