i won a mother goose for 16 dollars and 12 dollars shipping and its untested but didnt come with a tape and mother goose tapes are expensive so do teddy ruxpin ones work

No, the original Teddy Ruxpin tapes don't work in the original Mother Goose, as far as I know. However, Plaskool Teddy Ruxpin tapes work in the Playskool Mother Goose.

If your Mother Goose is a 1st gen (head turner), please do NOT put a Teddy tape in her! Her neck motor will act as the lower jaw, and since it moves so fast, it can damage the mechanism. 2nd gens (non head-turner) should be fine. Contrary to popular belief, some Mother Gooses can animate to Teddy tapes. It all depends on the individual. Some are more picky than others. Some will not animate at all, some only occasionally. Some will animate for a while but stop in the middle of the tape. But overall, you are more likely to succeed in using Teddy tapes with Mother Goose than you are using them with Mickey or Snoopy, who in my experience will almost never animate to Teddy tapes (although there were videos of them doing so on YouTube at one point). I definitely want to get a Mother Goose (preferably a head turner) for my new collection, she has been on my want list for a while now as she is my favourite WoW toy. |
