Sorry the dvd and pictures are no longer available. Truly sorry because the footage was taken at Alchemy II headquarters in the late 80s' by my father, had shelves of all the cool stuff. Pretty sure it will be hard to find as only about 30 dvds sold so the footage is out there
These are words from the seller of the dvd I contacted him in ebay as he said he has no pictures videos or dvds I think that it would be I great thing if you have the dvd to take a picture of 1 2 maby 3 prototypes mostly gimmick or maby a short clip or message me or members I think that since we could not buy it we should at least be able to see something of the dvd.
THE THING I WOULD love love love love love to see is gimmick

Honestly, I doubt anyone has this DVD... Posting so much about it is a little spammish... Only about 4 or 5 members ever come here. You have posted about it before, now all you can do it wait.
YouTube user Blueoctopede owns the DVD. However, she hasn't been active for a very long time

She has posted the plot of the DVD on Facebook but now we need to see Gimmick.

However, I have seen some of her posts there before. Particularly the one which mentions the DVD. I believe the original seller was the owner of the AnimationFascination website, who disappeared from the Teddy Ruxpin community because of some unspeciefied "drama", taking his website down. He knew a lot about Teddy Ruxpin and Worlds of Wonder, and had connections with former employees of the company, which is presumably how he obtained the DVD which contains the footage of WoW prototypes. He sold the DVD on one condition, that the buyer would not show the footage to anyone, nor post it publically on the internet. I suspect this was because he was still selling the DVDs at the time, and did not want to loose potential buyers.
Considering his disappearance, and that he ran out of stock, it would be perfectly okay for Blueoctopede to share the video now. I do hope she does, such things should not be kept hidden from collectors.

I did not know that. Thanks for sharing about the future of that DVD, I really love that.

Really? I was unaware of this. I hope the DVD comes to light soon in that case.

I quote from BlueOctopede, about Gimmick:
"The holy grail of the video, however, is the prototype/mockup Gimmick toy. Those of you who have been keeping in touch with me privately know that Gimmick is pretty much the bane of my existence. The rumors are true. He does exist. He is the size of a big WoW Teddy and is wonderfully built. He appears to me to be a photo prototype, like my Mother Goose- the actual toy, just no moving parts and electronics. His head I believe is molded vinyl or plastic, but I'd have to ask to be certain. His hair and mustache are comb-able, and his glasses are attached to his nose. His hands, feet, and body are plush, and the detailing on his outfit is phenomenal! They got everything right, down to the little magnifying glass and pens he keeps in his pockets! If he were an actual working toy, it looks like his bottom jaw would move up and down as he talked, his eyes would blink like Mickey Mouse and Goofy (a separate eyelid piece instead of the entire eye rolling back into the head), and very possibly, his eyebrows would move up and down. There are gaps between the corners of the eyebrows that highly suggest this. Also, they look to be plastic, rather than actual hair. He is really, absolutely phenomenal. Everything I imagined he would be!!"
It seems that the Gimmick prototype featured in the video did not move, either he was a photo prototype like BlueOctopede said, or he was broken like many of the other toys in the video (prototype Snoopy's ears didn't move, and neither did Charlie Brown's eyes..). It seems the poor things were not taken care of very well.

I think he was mostly a photo prototype because he did not break apart. blueoctopede says that he is designed beautifully and they got everything right just like the cartoon.

Snoopy was also in good condition according to BlueOctopede, and he was broken too.
I must admit, if there was a working Gimmick made, I would have loved to see footage of him.
