Ben came up with a great idea!
I want to start a new yearly feature on the site, showcasing everyone's TR related artwork. I have wanted to do an art gallery for some time but had to do it in pieces if it were to become a reality because I have so much artwork from everyone in the past 11 years and doing it in pieces means it will always be a work in progress... and there are too many infinite works in progress already in progress here at the moment. So instead I need new submissions from everyone (if it's artwork you've already sent me that's fine too, just re-send it) I will post up the new page by December 15th in time for Christmas.
Rules for submissions are obvious... nothing GoldyGry would find entertaining, otherwise all are welcome.
Josh

I'm rather fond of redesign and updated stuff. Recently, I've been very interested in making realistic and scientific studies of the species seen in the cartoon. Kinda fits in with the 'live-action' focus I've mentioned.
Maybe a keywords like 'Species', 'buildings' or 'action scenes' might be selected but should we do a vote on this?

A fellow deviantartist named Matt was talking with me about doing a Ruxpin-flavoured comic on DA. He only talked about it and it is not definite but his DA art page is here: foxwolfadventures.deviantart.com/

OK, the template is in. I chose a green theme for the art gallery, as I have been working with blue for 11 years and need a change. Any suggestions on color or design are welcome as well, but i don't want to get to elaborate here with those kinds of changes as the artwork is the real reason behind this addition and that should be the focus. The template is here : ruxpin.we.bs/artgallery.htm The artwork will go in the left hand column, with any author comments below. On the right hand side, I would like a couple of our community members to comment on the artwork. I have substituted what a couple of movie characters- Melvin Udall from "As Good As It Gets" and Annie Wilkes from "Misery" might have said as an example. I will need avatars from anyone who wants to participate in the right hand column. Let me know what you think, everyone. Josh

I like how you arranged this. I'd be happy to be on the board as a commenter and whatnot.

I think in that format I will put four or five images on each page, with comments to the right, with each artists allowed two pages for the initial run. So ten images for each artist. some my have to be altered slightly for size or thumbnailed.

Exciting news..... Jeff Wilson, the brilliant professional artist who has had his own syndicated comic strip as well as, of course, one of the key animators on The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, will be a part of the new art gallery, commenting on some of the entries. What a treat for those of you who draw Teddy to have a chance to get some feedback from Jeff.
Jeff is a great guy and is always happy to be a part of these kinds of things for us.

@kayla :-) Anytime something brings out a *little girl squeal* or in my case, the little boy jaw drop in amazement, haha, is a good thing for the world we live in. I was quite excited myself Jeff agreed to be a part of it. The connections amaze me, too. I would have never dreamed as a kid I would have ever known any of these people. The ironic part is, of all the artists who worked on Teddy over the years I could of met, I got in touch with not only a great, nice down to earth guy, but also the one who perfected the Karen & Grubby scenes from Grubby's Romance, my favorite story. And of course words cannot describe meeting Ken and Phil. If a dream's a good one, someday it might come true.

While it would be awesome to meet Mr. Forsse, I'd really like to meet Phil Baron.
How close is his natural voice to the one he used for Teddy, Josh?
On the subject of the art gallery, submissions will be open from now on, correct? Or is it just during this particular time period?
