Unless you've cut out part of the bottom of your cassette adaptor, you might've activated the tape recognition which stops Teddy from animating when there is a tape in him, as seen here: www.illiop.org/workings.htmlPerhaps this could be your problem?

YEP! I'd bet that is it. Just looked, no tabs on my tape. I'll have to try and cut out the required sections.
Thanks

Thanks so much. I meant to get a cassette when I was @ my parents house today.............. I forgot! I would have just attempted to cut out the required slots with an exacto knife. I'd probably just lay some painters tape on a tape with the required slots, then use that as a template. Ah well, all in due time! I don't have a single cassette at my house. Here are some pics of the adapter I'm using and my two Teddy's.
** When this adapter is in it's soooo LOUD. I have some foam I want to tape to inside Teddy's vest. I'm hoping it will help to muffle the sound.

Thank you. Question, in your opinion, if the slots aren't cut perfect (as I'll just end up using an exacto knife)do you think it could effect the animation ?

It has the possibility to, but I think it's highly unlikely. I haven't seen that before.

Teddys tend to play better the more you run them.

Ok great, thank you. I think I'll leave him on and just run the ipod for a bit. Let him go thru the stories.
If I find I'm getting minimal eye movement, or the eyes not opening wide, can I just manipulate them to open wider one time? Or by doing so do I risk damaging Teddy ?

When Teddy is playing a tape, you may gently try to move the eyes via the thicker part of the eyelid. When you do this, try not to push too hard or inward on the eye, rather, push it up. If you press too hard on the eye it has the potential to snap off and fall further into his head.

I pushed up on the eyes, but did this when he wasn't playing. Today, or at some point this weekend, I intend to leave Teddy on, and allow him to play through all my Teddy audio. I'll also attempt to adjust the eyes again during play.
EDIT - I'm home and currently uploading to YouTube a video of Teddy in use. I've got him running now while I'm in the basement doing some other random stuff. Hoping to see (A) an improvement in the coordination of his animation, and (B) see if perhaps certain audio files respond better with my Teddy.
It seems like this tape adapter I have spins fast, but I have no idea in actuality if that is honestly correct. I say that because it is LOUD! I wonder if that would effect the synchronization ? I can't see that being the case as the ques are in the audio.
I'll update with the link when available.
EDIT 2 - Here is the video, feel free to check out my other videos (mostly just my man cave stuff).

This is intriguing. If you manage to figure out the synchronization issue, please share!

With the weekend hear I plan on playing around more, all be it not much I can do really. I'll continue to allow Teddy to play, and I'll tinker with the volume levels. I hope I can achieve a decent synchronization. When it's off the effect just ins't the same.

Hello all,
I recently got sick with shingles....so less and less time for me stuff. As is Teddy is awesome, I continue my quest for more stories. But I really haven't played around or tinkered with him as of late. So my sync issues remain........ for now ! I will get back to this. I'll post updates or videos as progress is made.
Thanks all
