Hey guys! I don't know how many of you will have heard of WoW & Then, but I just wanted to take a moment to mention them. They're an online store located at www.wowandthen.com, and they happen to be the holders of what's probably the last of the remaining new-old-stock inventory from the Worlds of Wonder era (WoW & Then's founder once worked for them, I gather). They usually only ship within the USA, but they were very kind and helpful and made an exception to this for me, and I feel that I must highly recommend them, not just because of this, but also because of how good their service is, how good their prices are, and how quick they are to get the goods out to you. Teddy Ruxpin-wise, they currently have the following stock; - The Teddy/Grubby animation cord, for $22
- The set of three Fire Safety tapes (Welcome to the Fire Station, Get Down and Roll, and Cool It), that were originally intended for use by firefighters, for $9
- Several boxed book-and-tape sets (Double Grubby*, The Third Crystal, The Story of the Faded Fobs, Fire Safety With Teddy Ruxpin), for $9 each
- And a set of four loose tapes (Lost in Boggley Woods, Grunge Music, All About Bears, and The Third Crystal), for $12 for the set
*I recall that vilicles was looking for a copy of Double Grubby to replace a worn-out one. Don't bother with eBay, buddy - go to these guys and get it brand new! ;D According to the WoW & Then website, their prices include shipping within the US. Anyway, yeah, if you're after some brand new Teddy Ruxpin stuff for the original WoW model, now you know where to go! ;D

If they don't have it listed, it may already be gone - it appears that the stuff relating to some of WoW's other talkers is sold out, already, after all. It probably wouldn't hurt to drop them an e-mail to ask them about it, though!

Thanks for posting this link. I had no idea they were back in business - although I gather from her website she's been doing the Ebay thing all along, she was previously ran Bears N Cares, which took over from Dr. Clay Bearwell, who was WoW's official "doctor" and then started his own repair business after WoW's departure. The Bears N Cares website closed in or around '04 if I remember right.

That's my understanding of it, too, Josh.
I was delighted to find the site, that's for sure. I bought the set of four loose tapes, myself - fantastic value for money! ;D

Thanks, so much, Cyborg Illiop! This is FANTASTIC! I wish I'd known they were there sooner, I wonder how much money I could've saved from all my eBay hunting. Their prices make eBay look like "Pirate Bay." Most of the book and tape sets I've bought there ran around $19.99-25.00 PLUS SHIPPING AND HANDLING. Instead I picked up a brand new copy of "Double Grubby" for just $9.00, S&H INCLUDED! While I was at it, I added an extra animation cord for Teddy and Grubby for $22.00, which is about what you'd find on eBay on a GOOD day (again, S&H included!) What a fantastic find!
They also have some nice Snoopy tape and book sets (whatever happened to mine?) if anyone is interested as well as a "Julie" book and tape set, I believe. I wish there were more sites like this, but as people buy up the product, it becomes more rare, so I doubt they will be replenishing their stock. :/ Still, if you're looking to buy some BRAND NEW WoW product at AWESOME prices, this is THE place to check before running to Amazon or eBay.
Thanks again for the heads up!

No problem - glad to be of assistance! ;D Sharing stuff like this is part of the point of having a forum at all, right?

I thank you too! I'm going to get a new Julie book. I'm sure my old one is thrashed. I used to play with it all the time.
I sort of hate buying NIB though because I have to rip it open. Nothing stays in box in my house, haha. At least these prices are really decent compared to the $25 everywhere else for boxed stuff!

Hmm, interesting. i've bought quite a bit of Teddy Ruxpin stuff, mostly tapes, from one particular eBay seller in America, I think their eBay user name is something like Dunker5709 or something like that, I may have got it wrong. Their tapes are very expensive I know, however they usually come with the book, sometimes they're complete in box, Teddy Ruxpin Love Songs didn't come with the Tuxedo however, but that doesn't bother me too much. The reason I buy from them is I know what i'm getting form them, they ship internationally which is very important given that I live in Australia, and their tapes are generally in good condition, OK, sometimes tapes don't play well on one side, but I think that issue may also be with my Teddy Ruxpin. I don't know where they source their stock from, but they carry other talking toys and other Worlds Of Wonder tapes too, I think they also sell Worlds Of Wonder talking toys, at least some of them, I suspect they restore them before selling them on eBay. As I say their stuff's a bit pricey, very pricey in fact, but at least I know what they're selling me, they've even refunded me on many times because they've overcharged me, probably on freight fees.
